I think the map shows the preferred outdoor snack for each state. As you can see there's corndogs, egg plants, and ice lollies, but by far cucumbers and bananas are the most most popular thing to gnaw on in public.
I kinda get the logic because both are easy to carry around until you're hungry and fit easily in your mouth so you don't need cutlery.

Banana simply because I think cucumbers taste like shit. At least the banana is a fruit instead of a sour slimy crunchy vegetable. I hate cucumbers as is, either way people are going to give you looks at least the banana actually tastes good and has nutritional value cucumbers are mostly water.
For me, the choice would lean towards a banana. There's something wonderfully nostalgic about the simple act of peeling a banana and enjoying its sweet, comforting flavor. It reminds me of quick snacks during adventurous hikes where I savored that natural sweetness while surrounded by nature. A cucumber, while refreshing and crisp, doesn't quite carry the same sense of familiarity and pleasure for me when eaten on-the-go. 🍌

Funny enough. There's a college in my home state where women weren't allowed to eat bananas regular style. They had to be eaten with a spoon in a bowl or something. I've never wondered if they were allowed to eat corn dogs.
Since bananas are more socially acceptable to eat in public due to their familiar, portable nature and sweet taste, most people would prefer to eat them than cucumbers. Eating a cucumber, on the other hand, would seem more unique and possibly bizarre.
I get it, but Y’all are weird for sexualizing these little things. I can’t say I wouldn’t but… give it a break. by the way. I was driving eating a Cucumber I couldn’t believe how many eyes were staring. I just savagely bit, so they stopped.
In public, and anywhere else by the way, I largely prefer to eat a banana rather than a cucumber. I've honestly never seen anyone eat a cucumber just like that in public: no real logic reason, but that would seem weird.
Banana. I would have to cut up the cucumber to make it bite sized, where the banana is easy to bite pieces off of, though you might prefer more than a bite as it has a nice curve.
Nobody is walking around eating cucumbers over there, and you only see people eating corny dogs at the fair or the mall. Popsicles are only a summer thing, so it's bananas for the whole country
