Of course, Japanese Nori and Welsh Laverbread is the same thing, which is why today is national Laverbread day. So whether you like Laverbread or sushi or any other type of seaweed, what's your favourite seaweed dish?

I never had laverbread.
I love sushi rolls.
And I really like those packaged, crispy, dried seaweed wafers that you can buy in Japanese grocery stores.
I can't say that I've had much else made with seaweed. I think it's on the expensive side around here.
Wow, the British invented that? I eat a lot of sushi because it comes underneath my favorite, sashimi. I also eat those nori squares that are flavored... wasabi flavor is my favorite.
That's a trip though that the British invented that. I've lived in Japan for over a decade and I always thought that was just a pure Japanese thing. It's got a lot of vitamin K.
I'm not a sushi fan generally because it contains rice and not because of sea weed. I think it's the only sushi and glassing of gummy bears with agar agar are only products which contain algae.
Kimbab, i’m not a fan of sushi.
Sushi fascinates with its harmonious blend of flavors. When it comes to seaweed, I delight in the subtle earthiness of wakame salad. Its vibrant green hue, accompanied by a delicate sesame dressing, captures the essence of Japanese cuisine. I vividly recall tasting it for the first time in a quaint Tokyo eatery. As I savored each bite, I felt connected to the centuries-old culinary traditions of Japan. Whether in sushi or salads, seaweed elevates dishes, offering a taste of oceanic depths. 🍣🥗

For me it'd be sushi. 🍣
I would have to say the one dish that has the big buds in it. At least that's what I noticed when I went to A dispensary with a friend and she said I'll take that weed right there in that dish I think it was called train wreck or something like that LO. l
Rather easy to answer that question, because the only times I eat seaweed is when enjoying good Sushis. Otherwise it's not part of my habits to use seaweed, not because I don't like it mind.
The truth is also there's lots of choice in the field of food in my neighbourhood, but seaweed does not seem to be part of it.
I did not know that. But I do enjoy sushi. My favorite though is Sashimi with yellow fin tuna.
I had a business dinner in Denmark where we had sushi. One of the people there was a young Norwegian who didn’t understand what it was. We explained it to him and he did not know the word “seaweed” however so we had to explain that to him as well. Once he understood, he just kept saying “we are eating (whatever seaweed is in his language)” with a look of shock on his face. Good times.
I like all kinds of sushi. My favorite is spicy tuna or salmon, with rice, wrapped in seaweed. I'm sure there's a Japanese name for it, but I don't know it.
Spicy tuna roll with jalapeño, cilantro, scallions and cream cheese with a side seaweed salad
Ok I lied. I’m not sure it’s my favorite but that’s what I’ve been creating in my mind for my next custom sushi meal
Spicy with salmon, tuna, or shrimp are my favorites. Dragon rolls are a favorite with the crunch. Also love Sashimi best of all any of them.
I don’t like sushi I don’t like raw fish or even cooked fish not a seafood fan the most I eat for that category is New England clam chowder and a tuna, fish sandwich
Seaweed soup is nice but the whole sushi thing is nice.
Somehow I read this as 'what is your favourite swedish dish. And the answer is of course gravalax
Your facts are bit wrong here. The British actually invented seaweed in the Victorian Era as a way to colonize the ocean. Japan is itself a large body of seaweed cultivated by Queen Victoria and Chinese Emperor MaeDong.
Sushi. I was even filmed once for a Sushi eating contest.
If you put seaweed with cucumber and suagr vinagar its good
I like Korean Gimbap, and Japanese vegetarian Sushi.
Sushi as it is known today was developed in the early 1800's. I don't know much about her, however she was born in 1901, and is credited with having saved Sushi, Bravo!
Hook me up with a Philly roll with double brewed soy sauce n extra wasabi with a glass of authentic plum wine. DIVINE!!
@purplepoppy I hate sushi - hate sushi 🍣🤢🤢🤢🍣
Sushi I love seafood
Sorry but I'm not into eating seaweed.
