I was under the impression the Japanese frowned upon salmon because it's comes from the North of Japan.
I don't eat much salmon because I don't support fish farming and wild salmon is very expensive here.
I'm a vegetarian, so I eat only veggie sushi, but if I weren't a vegetarian, I would probably like it.
