Will you give bad reviews to delivery guys if your foods gone bad or damaged and they don't even apologize or at least tell you?

I ordered some burgers from Uber Eats and when I picked up my food in the lobby the paper bag was already wet, and I found that there was a hole in the seal of the soda cup, I was still okay because I don't drink soda. But when I opened it, it turned out that all my burgers and fries were soaked in soda.

If that happened to me, I would immediately call the restaurant, tell them what happened and request a replacement, at no cost. Your argument is with them, not the delivery guy, who in essence works as an independent contractor for the restaurant.

In that case that not even the restaurant fault, it was the delivery guy fault for not taking care of the foods carefully, why would you even deal with the restaurant? The responsibility of the restaurant ended when the delivery guy picked up the foods, and the delivery guy responsibly started when he picked the food until it landing to the customer/address.

@itsannalee It's not about whose fault it is, it's about who can, and should, resolve your problem. You have no legal relationship with the delivery guy. Your relationship is only with the restaurant (you paid them, if I understand correctly), which is why that is who you contact. Further, the delivery guy cannot replace your food, only the restaurant can do that, which is another reason why you contact them. Finally, you didn't select the delivery guy, the restaurant did, when they gave him your food, which is yet another reason why you contact them.

It’s about the fault, and responsibility.
Blaming others for other people's mistakes is not responsible and good thing. I paid the restaurant for my meal and i paid the delivery guys for the delivery service.

And says who I don’t have legal relationship with the delivery guy? I paid Uber guy to deliver my food, the delivery of the food is separate from the cost of the food. Which means they have their own responsibilities, as I said, the restaurant's responsibility is only until the food delivery guy picks up the food and about the foods taste. And the delivery guy has their own responsibility, start when they pick up the foods until the food arrives to the costumer/address.

We pay separately, that’s why in the bill always describes coz of the foods, service fee and delivery fee. They have separate responsibilities. Why would someone blame you for something you don’t do? That’s pretty dumb.

One thing I hate about some of the services is that you tip beforehand, so if the tip is low the person might not care or worse, but if it is decent you cannot change it so again the person might not care.

I always give the delivery drivers a good rating because they're poor and I never harm poor people, but I always give the restaurant one star.
