When I’m out with friends on a Friday night, I’ll start with non alcoholic beers for the first 2 hours. They aren’t zero alcohol but 0.5% which is minimal. We have a brewery brand here that makes something like 25 different styles of non alcoholic beers. Only 45 calories too. And the taste is fairly decent.

That way I’m completely sober after the first 2 hours. Nothing impresses people like a guy slurring his words and stumbling his way to the men’s room.

When I actually order something with alcohol in it, there’s a good chance it’s a dry red wine or a gin and tonic. To finish the night, usually a bourbon or a bourbon based Manhattan or old fashioned.

7Up because hardly anybody has any kind of root beer I can drink. They nearly ALWAYS have the shit made by Coke or Pepsi and I can drink any of their stuff because it fucks up my stomach. Especially anything made by Coke!! Pepsi stuff, I can KINDA deal with. If they don't have 7Up, I'll just take a pitcher of ice water!

I usually get whatever IPA beer they have. If they don't have that, something like Rickard's Red. And sometimes when I feel a little fancy, I get a moscow mule. That's my favourite drink. It's just it can be a little more expensive than others.

Depends If I'm eating or socializing then I'll go longer so Irish and ginger or a cognac with Coke or if they have something I'll drink, cider If I'm just going for a drink usually Scotch rocks
