Oh goody! Another drinking question! How I so love these! 😊
And I would've picked the option that I'm sure was just an oversight to not put on the poll... I drink.
And actually no one in my area drinks the most popular beer selected for my state. But we're all a bunch of backasswards, country hick, Pabst drinking, rednecks up in these parts. But we have fun. 😊

May I suggest buckfast wine. A delicious 15% alcohol with loads of caffeine to keep you awake bottle after bottle. Plus its dirt cheap
Nah, I usually find the mass marketed beers are poor quality / taste.
I usually drink a locally produced non alcoholic IPA that tastes fairly good and only has 45 calories. The brand is Athletic. But the other stuff I like is fairly popular...
I'm not much into beer. My #1 preference is red wine. I also like cocktails.
But at a pub, I'll occasionally enjoy having a dark beer (stout or porter) on tap, preferably not Guinness.
At restaurants, I match the beer with the food.
At a Mexican restaurant, I sometimes have a Modelo Negra.
At a Japanese restaurant, I sometimes have an Asahi, Kirin or Sapporo.
At a Thai restaurant, I sometimes have a Singha.
I don't like beer especially with exception of nightclubs when I prefer to have a bottle instead of a glass, so I don't have a preferred brand. However most beer brands here belong to Japanese Aashi Group or Heineken.
Small private breweries practically don't exist here or get sold or bankrupt after a 2 years when tax benefits end.
The allure of a new brew is irresistible. While Peroni is a classic staple reminiscent of warm evenings in an Italian piazza, my exploration often gravitates toward the vivid spectrum of flavors smaller breweries offer. I remember a charming day when I stumbled upon a brewery that infused a beer with local herbs, and the intriguing blend was unforgettable. 🍺 Exploring these divergent tastes often paints a vibrant picture of the region's identity.
A vibrant picture of a vivid spectrum, eh?

Your poll is missing my option - „I drink a big national brand.“ (Beck’s) 😛
Öttinger beer is disgusting, by the way. 🤢👎
Hmmm, for me that would be a foreign brewery, e. g. Heineken.
I occasionally drink Krombacher which was the best selling brand in Germany until 2004. Oettinger (the current best seller) rarely, if at all. So no.
There are 5,000 beers in Germany; out of the top 10 brands, I drink Krombacher, Bitburger, Warsteiner (they do a nice hot air balloon event every year), Veltins (right now, prost!), occasionally Paulaner and Erdinger, when I'm down south, various local ones when I'm traveling.
I do not drink anymore but when I did it was a local IPA and not Sam Adams which was okay too.

I don’t drink alcohol anymore. But when I drank I mixed it up and drank great beers from everywhere. My choices were mainly Western European beers. Today I will have non-alcoholic beers as I like the taste. In the fridge are some Clausthaler from Germany and some Guinness. Clausthaler has great taste and the NA Guinness tastes like it should for the most part.
I'm Mexican, Mexican born I'm actually 39 I have drank alcoholic drinks since an astonishing age (Early teens) very comon in Mexican families. I got tired of big beer companies. For years I've been drinking steel reserve 211 . For 5 dollars or even cheaper you get 4 _16 ounce cans they have 8.1 alcohol level not for the light hearted. I often see drunks wasted sleeping outside of the liquors stores at 12pm😅.
Oetinger is not the most popular! WTF its the cheap ass piss beer everyone knows. Far from the most popular. Most known maybe, but popular is something else.
Krombacher or Veltins (because of its beermix V ) is probably the overall most popular. Generally most people prefers local ones but that will not add up to overall popular.
Not easy to tell what is more popular, but in any case I never drink the classic pils beers. I prefer by far Trappists which actually are very common and well known here in Belgium (Chimay, Orval, Westmalle, etc.). I also sometimes enjoy very local beers, and of course I love Stouts, Guiness, Gordon Scotch, Pale Ale, etc.
You forgot Iron City, Schlitz, Schmidt's, Olde Frothingslosh (the pale, stale ale with the foam on the bottom), I. C. Light, Pabst Blue Ribbon, St. Pauli Girl, Watney's Red Barrell, Heineken, Carling Black Label, Old Milllwaukee, and a slew of others.
I don't always drink the same beer. I typically have a Stella Artois, but not every place has it, in which case I switch to a Sam Adams. Neither of those are the favorite beer in my area.
Unless my husband insists that I try something he believes tastes really good, I usually stick with Stella Artois regardless of where we are.
I don't drink beer, but Tequila or Scotch are my choices.
I drink Scotch, not beer. Macallan 12 or Glenfiddich 15.
Agreed but prefer peat myself... Laphroaig, Talisker, Lagavulin
Found Macallan flat and started out on Glenfiddich 12 (also had the 15 and the 18, the 21 is worth trying and isn't crazy for a quarter bottle... also have a bottle of 26 that is truly wonderful stuff)
@jamesgoldman I remember you being a fan of single malt Scotch whiskeys!!
@purplepoppy I don't drink beer, and I DON'T ROLL ON FUCKIN' SHABAS" 🤣🤣🤣😁
I don't drink beer generally but the rare times are Asahi in Wagamama where they do a kinda cocktail with Midori and Peroni back in my restaurant days but it was so warm in the kitchen almost anything wet was acceptable
According to GoogleAI the most popular beer in the UK is Stella Artois. I typically drink Abbot Ale when I'm at my local, which is available at all Wetherspoons throughout the UK so it's fairly popular for a traditonally brewed ale.
I see Carling is represented on your map, which is more what I would have expected. It's a very thin and watery lager style which doesn't appeal to me at all.
Actually Abbot is brewed by Greene King, which I see on your England map.
Not at all. I live in Georgia and drink German beer. There's one local brew that's sort of ok in a pinch, but for the most part, American beers suck compared to European beers, especially Bavarian brews.
Nope.
Modelo is the brand where I live, But I’ll drink any hard liquor, honestly, Just drink responsibly.
Not usually, but occasionally i drink the common swill.
Sorry, but for the UK I question the accuracy. Tennants in Scotland for sure, but the rest is questionable.
Nah, I don't really drink beer, but I tried several brands. I prefer some international ones.
No because i don't really care for John Smiths tbh
I don't drink beer, and especially not Bud Lite.
In my younger partying days, I would only drink beer very rarely
I drink small local brews. Though I have been abstaining entirely for several months.
I don't drink or hang out in bars so I have no clue
I like international beer. I’m fan of Fix beer. But hard to find in the US.
I don't drink and people who do are usually gross
I have a hard time believing corona is the most popular beer in that many states.
I like craft beer , IPA’s mainly
I rarely if ever drink beer.
We have one of the tastiest beer in the world!
Yeah we drink efes pilsen
