Do you think low key pressure can make you appreciate things more?

When I took a hard academic class that was designed for no other purpose than to fail as many students as possible, I would drink tea after each study session to soothe my boredom and unhappiness.

I cherished that tea like it was a $5,000 bottle of cognac because I drank it when I was stressed out. Now I don’t enjoy the tea and don’t even drink it, even though I have hundreds at home, because the stressor that drove me to drink and enjoy the tea is gone.

Do you think low key pressure can make you appreciate things more?
