Should food companies and drink companies cut their prices?

EVERYBODY should cut their prices! The less things cost, the more people will want to buy it because they can afford to buy it!
I LOVE root beer but refuse to buy it unless it's on sale!! Even the sale prices ($1.25 a bottle) are too high but it's WAY better than the normal price ($3.49 a bottle!!). If it's $3.49 a bottle, I won't buy ANY but, at $1.25 a bottle, I'll buy at least 20 bottles in one trip!! That'll USUALLY hold me over until the next time someone has it at the sale price in 2 or 3 weeks!! At that point, I'll buy 20 more!! So, they're making a LOT more money selling it at $1.25 a bottle than they are at $3.49 a bottle!!
If NOBODY'S got it on sale for a while, I'll buy a case or two of the cola they have at Aldi. It's not as good as the root beer but, it'll suffice until I see another sale. So, those who sell the root beer at $3.49 a bottle aren't making a dime from me!! If they'd KEEP the price at $1.25 all the time, I'd buy it all the time but, if they lowered it to what it used to be 40 years ago, $5.01 for 8 bottles, I'd buy twice as much!! I'm SURE I'm not the ONLY person that feels that way!! Sure, you're selling your product for much less but you're making loads more money because of it!!
The lower the prices, the more people can afford to buy more of it and the richer the manufacturer gets! And the less the people have to struggle to get by!! The happier they are, the more they're willing to buy stuff!! AND, if you play your cards right, you won't HAVE to lower the pay rates for your employees simply because the cost of the items has gone down! As I said, the lower it costs, the more of it people will buy!!

No as they like any manufacturer/company deserve to make a reasonable gross profit margin, what they need to do is eliminate some of the middle men that also add a profit and get their product to the consumer as directly as possible eliminating all these layers of profit from their products.

I definitely think food and essentials should be a lot cheaper. Luxury goods I think we have no power over the price sadly
