Why isn't it?
Haha fast food is not even real and you're paid more money for it than you would if you went and bought hamburger at the store plus you would be eating almost real hamburger that you get from the store instead of chemically made products from fast food chains
Do yourself a favor start asking questions on what hamburger for McDonald's is made of how much pesticides are on the potatoes that farmers grow did stay in the potato.\n The cheese on Pizza find out how they're chemically made the tomato sauce on Pizza.
Is chemically made? There is no tomatoes on some of your big name pizza places
It's bad enough that the foods that we get from the grocery store have been chemically engineered and all the chemicals and pesticides they have in them
And then you add fast food
Do your menu this is why everybody in the world is sick nowadays. Because of our food products that we're putting into our body , they're chemically engineers , they have so much pesticide on them , and we are putting them in our body
Think about this for 1 minute. Mcdonald's says that they sell six million hamburgers per day per day
There's not enough cows on this planet for them to do that
Where do they come up with their hamburger meat every day it's chemically engineered
It is not real. It is fats of all kinds. It might be a couple different types of meat from different animals in it. There's no way in this world that they can make 6 million hamburgers per day for all these years. Do you?\nKnow how many cows that would be per day
Sadly not how that works. Theoretically let's say McDonald's could sell so much for lower margin and make profit without it being more than food you buy to take home. Which it probably could, you have a thing called demand.
If demand is so high that they can increase the price and still such demand why wouldn't they? It's more profit? You yourself if selling something would want more profit right?
But let's say you give the dishonest answer of no? Ya know duty of corporate management is to increase profits for shareholders...
And thus is the truth of capitalism management, businesses are ran and even enforced to make more profit. There is tons of legal stuff around making sure your business is viable even more in a public traded one.
I don’t see how fully prepared food should be cheaper than what you make at home.
It’s prepared for you. You are paying for the food and the convenience of not having to cook it yourself.
It would be silly, in my opinion, to suggest it should be cheaper.
Ok. Fast food companies can go ahead and go out of business then. When you can get a quality burger and beer from a sit down restaurant for around the same prices, fast food loses all its appeal.
@Kingofkings1992
Shee-it dood, I agree.
Fast food has gone up in price and waaaay, waaaay down on quality.
I would choose a restaurant over fast food every time.
Even better, I’ll just cook.
I’m pretty good in the kitchen, and make food that tastes better than anything you can get at a fast food joint.
Prime rib this weekend 😋
It's called "fast", not "cheap". I can make a burger at home, and cheaper too, because I will have left over ground beef for another dish or two. And better tasting than a MacDonald's burger.

It should be but massively due mass production but people who own fast food chains know people their clientele is lazy and addicted, so they will scam them off as much as possible.
You should be glad that it isn’t. It only would create more helpless fat blobs rolling around in the streets and all the socio-economic baggage following them.
From a quality standpoint, fast food should be worth very little. The fact is, we are NOT paying for gourmet quality, healthy foods.
We are paying for convenience - something (sort of) ready-to-go when we think we need it. The cost of the foodstuffs aside, what you are paying for is advertising, labor, specialized equipment, licensing, labor, store rent, liability insurance, management, labor, training, governmental regulations- and did I mention labor? ;- )
Eliminate all this stuff, grill yourself a burger, sit back and enjoy the savings!!!
considering the cost of the ingredients? sure. but the cost is based on demand. capitalism doesn't care if something "should" be, it cares what the supply vs the demand is
but yes. a potato costs less than a dollar. a potato can make probably at least two large fry orders at say mcdonalds. and yet you pay at least $3.50 for a large fry... so in theory yes fast food should be cheaper
I believe it should be and I believe it was at one time especially in America but fast food chains know now that most people are either too lazy too cook at home or dont know how. there's apartments built in cities that dont have kitchens. So fast food chains realise they can charge whatever they want and people will pay. What I have noticed is a lot of bad customer service in fast food places& restaurants now
The cheapest should be eating at home, even if it is putting a TV dinner into the microwave or a frozen pizza into the oven. The next cheapest should be fast food whether it's the clown, the king, the queen, or the redhead.
Unfortunately, fast food has gotten to be the same price as restaurants, so we go to restaurants now for better tasting food.
No, it is usually cheaper and healthier to cook for yourself. Buy a copule of ponds of ground sirloin and make your own burgers. They are better than the fast food ones , taste better and have less fat.
Ponds of ground sirloin?
That which we might like to be isn't always that which is possible.
I'd say that this is such a case.
Cheers!
Whether it is or should be cheaper or not is irrelevant. People should cook and eat their own food more often.
Disagree. When you eat at home you don't pay labor and don't have any overhead.
Fast food is more expensive if you don't factor in the value of your time.
Eating at McDonald's is cheaper than eating at the local Mexican restaurant.
No cutting out the middle man should be cheaper.
Because you keep buying it
What really? Stupid question.
That's the whole point of fast food, is convenience. It's not even that good. if it's more expensive than eating at home, then it serves no purpose. Think. Use your head, genius.
If you say so lol
Looks like the consensus is I'm right
I agree, you're right about that.
Processed food cheap? Good luck
