some things have gone down but the figures show that prices rose 2.4% in 2025. Coincidently , 2.4% was the annual rate of inflation so it makes sense. People seem to forget how bad things were when Biden was president. the average annual inflation rate when he was in office was 6.7%. It was higher in some years, and this did not include fuel prices which would have made it even higher.
Prices will never go down to what they were before Biden made them skyrocket but Trump is trying to grow the economy and create good jobs and higher wages. It is already working but it will not happen overnight. If the democrats get control of the house all the progress of the previous 2 years will come to a grinding halt as democrats well start impeachment proceedings on the first day. Gas prices will rise again and soon the prices of everything else will go up on a weekly basis.

Trump created thousands of jobs but Covid shut them all down.
130,000 jobs were created in January, much more than expected. Over 300,000 government jobs have been eliminated in the last year.

@sage2021 I guess the President can create jobs working for the government. Biden created over a million of them in 4 years to make his jobs numbers look good. The president can enact pro business policies like low corporate taxes and less regulations. When businesses grow, they need to hire more help and jobs are created.

Once again, political changes are slow. The system was devised many years ago by some men who had just witnessed two societies that were ruled by Aristocracies in which the people had no say (tyranny). The purpose of their efforts was to create a system of Government that despised Aristocracy and was Correctable. They realized that mistakes were going to be made and that when that became evident, changes could be made. Not by a group of Sabre rattling fanatics, but by sane majorities at a voting booth where the opinion of the nation would be established. That is why tampering with the results of the vote is so serious. I think it was Jefferson who said that The United States had nothing to Fear from Foreign Powers because it would only fall due to domestic threats. Give him his four years. beef is going down but is still way higher than it was, which i can say as a steak fanatic. the only prices i've seen truly lower are eggs and bagged chip products. though i believe the bagged chips are lower in price cause frito-lay was about to be sued by a consumer watch group

It's a fact that many food commodities have gone down in price. To some extent that has translated to lower prices of raw ingredients in stores, but not so much for processed foods due to labor price increases.
