I would imagine the logistics involved. Lowering grocery prices would depend on more truckers wanting to work with less restrictions, more pay, and lower overhead for one. Maybe removing DEF and rolling back to high sulfur diesel would work too, but no way that would fly. It would require all new equipment as well.(maybe trains and boats could run it)

Whay he HAS talked about are policies to help lower the COSTS for farming. Energy (petroleum) costs are the biggest reason for the high cost of food. It affects the cost of fertilizer, the cost of buying and operating heavy equipment (tractors and harvesters), every kind of supplies, and the costs to transport the food to market. And energy costs are up as a direct result of Biden's policies. That is something Trump CAN do something about.

Fixing energy prices are likely to cause some price reductions eventually, but of course they are not going to go down to pre-Biden levels because we've had 4 years of inflation since then.

The cost of food is a complex and many-layered equation, but addressing one or more of the biggest variables will certainly help. That said, it's not like Trump can make a phone call and have prices lowered 20% on January 20th. Instead, he's correcting a foundational problem that will eventually lower grocery prices at the store. That's the right way to handle such issues.

And this is something Biden could have done at any time - he could do it today - but he won't. He doesn't care what groceries cost you and he never did. His interest has always been to maximize the value of his own stocks and those of his close friends. The Biden family has big oil investments in foreign countries, and the way to keep their values high is to reduce domestic oil production in the US - which is exactly what he did his first day in office. But you don't want to talk about that, right?

Also if you want to talk about the cost of energy then you should probably mention how its a global market which means that other countries, like OPEC, is able to manipulate the price of energy in USA which becomes a national security concern as long as you rely on oil and gas.

Green energy is not only cheaper but also makes your country energy independent as opposed to being exposed to the cost of oil on the open markets.

@syntosisi The US was oil-independent when Trump left office - the very first thing Biden did, literally his first day in office, was to sign a bunch of Executive Orders, one that killed the Keystone pipeline (which didn't reduce the use of oil, it simply meant that the oil would continue to have to move by train, which is more expensive, less reliable, and more likely to cause environmental problems), banning fracking in many areas, and canceling oil leases - all things designed to force the US to buy foreign oil again, which increased the share prices of his foreign oil stocks.

Trump fully supports green energy, but green energy has significant limitations right now. Green energy is organically expanding - costs for wind and solar are coming down - but these are not 365-day-a-year solutions in most of the country. And we don't have electric tractors, and barely have electric big-rigs - these technologies are still in their infancy, though I believe they will eventually take over organically, because they'll be a superior option. There is no such thing as "oil independent" in an open market. As long as you allow domestic production to be sold internationally then you will compete with other countries for the supply of your own products. Its easy to sell petrol and oil abroad through oil tankers and pipelines which means that USA will always be in a bidding war with the rest of the world for the oil it digs up itself. On the other hand, electricity is difficult to transport and sell which means it has to be used relatively locally to where it is produced. That is why green energy makes you energy independent as compared to oil.

Regarding technology and the development of it, you really want to be the one pushing this new frontier. China has already jumped on the new development and gotten a basic monopoly on the components used in green energy and electric motors. That means they will be the ones who can profit from its world wide adoption where as USA will have to pay China for its own ticket to modern electricity generation. Putting aside how relying on other countries to develop the technology for you means they will have power over you, it also means that technology will be slower to develop.

There is a reason why batteries are such a massive piece of garbage. The technology behind it has been stagnate since oil began to boom due to the low amount of investment. We could have had these electric cars which is built today by like 1980 if we wanted to. Instead we poured in basically infinite money into perfecting a technology that is now by all rights obsolete.

Why do I think this way? Cold hard economics. If something is not profitable then you should have someone else do it for you and just buy their services or products. I'm pretty sure he wants to drill baby drill... Biden in contrast put regulation on fertilizer shipments by train (which is the way they are shipped) to cut production by 20%. If those regulations are overturned, then fertilizer ships get back up to normal rates again and farmers produce larger crops. If interest rates are brought down, especially on farm loans, then cost of production will again drop. Policy during Biden boosted those rates and show preferential treatment toward minority farmers hurting large farms that are necessary for food stability. Being that Biden wasn't legitimately President, fraud vitiates everything and thus much of the damage Biden has done should policy wise be easy to overturn, but time wise it takes a bit to turn the ship...
