When I was on a mission trip to Greece in late 2004, they had a few various kind of dehydrated fruits, but you more likely to find them in bulk- to buy by the kilo- in "specialty gift stores" than just bagged in the supermarket, along with dozens of spices and some strange candies.

There's different brands in the UK but they're not that popular
Apple chips exist in many countries, not just the US 🍏
Where I live, you find them in supermarkets and health-food shops, sometimes plain, sometimes with cinnamon or dipped in dark chocolate. Iβve also had amazing homemade versions in Italy, thinly sliced apples baked low and slow until crisp, served with espresso.
Theyβre pretty global now, especially in cities.
