What's your thoughts on the pancake kebab?

Yeah, they're a thing. Skewered dangling pancakes. I'm not entirely sure what the eating etiquette is or what's achieved other than leaving kids with metal pointy skewers to play with.

But would you like one?

I've been to weddings that had this or a cracker-like version.

It was not good. Most of the time. Very hard to eat. You can imagine a bunch of people wearing expensive clothes and trying not to look stupid eating it.

Most people grabbed one, put it on a little plate and kinda just talked about eating it 😂

Because it's like by the time you go to cut it with silverware the chocolate kinda fell off and then some people were trying to find a way to bring back a puddle or little cup of chocolate but there's no way of doing it that looks right because either you have to ungracefully put the player halfway into the fountain which... Isn't exactly a good look.

Or you have to find something smaller than a water glass but big enough to dip into that you can fill with a small enough portion of chocolate that it doesn't look like you're literally filling a Togo box for yourself.

I want to say I was at some kids celebration when that family had the foresight to supply little dishes that were the proper proportions and people could catch the falling chocolate into those.

The entire place was a mess in less than 10 minutes.

sure i'd eat one. but i don't really see the point of it except for the novelty of it. a kabob is typically fashioned that way so you can prepare all items at once on a grill.

with the pancake kabob you make a pancake and instead of putting it on a plate with these other items you put it on a skewer. seems unnecessary. but i'd eat one if it was presented to me

I’ve seen those pancake kebabs, and they always remind me of playful street food experiments I’ve tried at festivals 😄
