What do you think of this BREAKFAST?

My breakfast this morning, egg sandwich on toast with a cup of coffee with cream.

Took me all of 5 minutes to make:

Two slices of bread in the toaster

Two eggs, scrambled with a dollop of mayonnaise and
microwaved for 2 minutes in a small bowl, resulting
in a round semi-solid egg

One slice of American cheese

Assemble into a sandwich, cheese on top of the egg, and enjoy it... with coffee

It was delicious. What do you think?

I think it's fine, good combination of protein and carbs, but I would have left out that cheese because it's processed and that's not good for you. Better with cheddar or even muenster for some better cheeses--but I guess it was all you had. I have had that without the cheese--a simple scrambled egg sandwich and it's great. Today I made a rare breakfast for me, pancakes. Just in the mood for them--but I rarely eat breakfast.

I prefer my breakfast this morning, prepared for 6 extended famly members including my mother:

scrambled eggs; grits with cheddar cheese biscuits; bacon, sausage, and ham; fresh blueberry muffins; orange juice and coffee.

Took much longer to prepare but my mom's almost 92 years old so I try to pamper her a bit.

Looks delicious!! I’ve recently been finding a lot of people doing their eggs like that too. It seems like it is a popular stile of cooked egg.

Unusual to have egg inside toast. I would have melted the cheese on top then topped it with a fried egg.
Before serving with bacon and sausage, for aesthetics of course

Yes just not inside toast. Usually it's chopped and tossed in mayo.

Oh not so at all, darling! The European people especially the British people eat a great many foods on toast, and it is delightfully refreshing, eating toast with a knife and fork (where the tines of the fork are downturned, it’s not a shovel darling, it’s a fork, you’re supposed to impale food with it, not scoop it up.) but I love the British affinity for putting things on toast.

@bean2k21 Yes, of corse we make egg sandwiches in the states, we just don’t usually think of that as a breakfast food. We don’t really put anything on toast and eat it with a knife and fork. Although in some southern cultures, the “open faced sandwich” is basically just X on toast!

Isn't pizza just glorified cheese on toast. And you eat that with a knife and fork. Checkout the French dish le welsh complet. Basically a buck rarebit with 100x more cheese

@purplepoppy Yes, I do believe I did say that it is more common in Europe, but especially with the Britts. As for the pizza analogy, sure that’s basically cheese and tomato on toast, but only if we are counting unleavened bread, and I'm Jewish so why not? I just think I would be thought of as a bit strange if I ate my pizza with a knife and fork. Well, maybe not as strong as strange, but certainly odd. No?

Sounds light for a breakfast tbh. I make my eggs on a pan. Seasoned with a bit of salt and pepper, cheese melted on top. Pre-cooked sausage can go in the microwave, I use Italian bread. I drink my coffee either blonde or black, no in between. I’d prob go with yogurt too, and a fruit.

It looks amazing, I love any breakfast with eggs and bread and coffee. My favourite food at hotels is the breakfasts. I like it, more than the three course dinners.

Switch the mayo with bacon and I'd call it awesome! Also I'd go OJ instead of coffee, but those are my preferences. Big up on only 5 minutes, my bacon takes 7 to 10.
