Ok, so, like earlier this morning I set down a bowl of old, leftover chicken salad for my beloved little' dog who for some reason didn't seem to like it 'cuz he can be a fussy little shithead (And pets are nothing like their owners) and he knocked it over and I didn't notice 'cuz the caffeine hadn't worked it's magic yet and I was getting ready to take a shower, so I was barefoot and I stepped in it and used a few colorful expressions that aren't very ladylike or becoming for a young woman of my utmost stature. (<--- Narcissism)

Anyways, I'm hoping the day gets better but it just makes me ask, Ever start your day by stepping in chicken salad?

That's why I don't allow pets in my clean house with Italian marble floor, with exception pet boys I play sometimes with. It's not that I don't like dogs or cats, I love them but I don't need their fur hair and saliva everywhere. As much as I want to cuddle with every pug I see, the though that it runs in my house around and spreads it's bodily fluids, hair and skin particles causes in me nausea.
I've been taught that letting food on the floor would be treated with capital punishment, therefore I would instinctively and subconsciously avoid that.

Well, sexy, I can't say I've ever started my day by stepping in chicken salad. I usually start my day doing a couple shots of Jack and smoking a couple Marb reds. I don't think I've ever seen a chicken salad. Is that a common dish for mountain people?

I have never stepped in chicken salad before it was eaten, but i’ve stepped in dog poop that might have started out as chicken salad. I suspect the consistency is about the same, but the poop smells way worse. Unless there is something tragically wrong with your chicken salad recipe. Ell oh ell!

I've tried, but the darned "day" won't start for me.

No. I try to avoid what I will be devouring for lunch or supper.

(almost) every time we visit a Costco, we get a rotisserie chicken- about 10-12 servings of low-fat protein for $5, pre-prepared and tasty. The last bits get made into a tasty chicken salad- diced celery, peppers, onions (the Hold Trinity of food)- mayo and a walk through the (herbal) garden. One of my favorites. Add a slice of bread and some fruit- I'm good to go.
