No but I do know that about a decade ago the USA and China had a chicken feet war. The Chinese like American chicken feet because their bigger and chicken producers made a nice profit on them. But then the Chinese slapped import duties of over 100% on feet which hit the American chicken producers hard.

I believe dietary diversity is an excellent way to fortify your health but I'm a picky eater and will not venture outside the typical, most commonly consumed foods people eat unless it's a vegetable or non animal food product. My cheap way of ensuring dietary diversity is to mix four types of herbal tea together each day and to sample coffee beans from different parts of the world and to mix honey's from different continents together in one drink.
I was in Chinatown in Manhattan circa 2011 with my wife, our friend from there, and my Czech exchange student, I believe. Connie, the Chinese-American friend, got chicken feet. I tried them but did not care for it which actually surprised me; as a native NYer, I grew up eating Chinese food and never really eaten something I did not like in Chinese food.
I won’t even eat a burger that isn’t a traditional “lettuce/tomato/onion” (and pickles, lots of pickles, fuckin’ fight me) setup, like I don’t do ranch burgers or anything non-traditional like that. So NO CHANCE that I’m eating chicken feet, lmao. I eat for nutrition, not stunts or feats of courage😂

My background is south east Asian so it’s not abnormal to eat chicken feet. Just taste like the fatty bits of chicken that’s all
Chicken feet, ox tail, pigs feet, cow stomach, etc. And I happen to be European by ancestry, North American by birth. I just happen to find ethnic cuisine oftentimes more tasty than simple American foods. I mean hamburgers aren't even American, they're originally German and far better in some German towns than anything in USA.
I declaw mine too. Chicken feet tastes amazing and you can cook them in various ways. Boil (braise) them, fry them like KFC or roast them 🤤.
To each their own but everyone saying they haven't tasted them because they look disgusting, please you should!! Just once.
They are quite common around here.
As a rule, I'll try anything at least once... well: within reason, and when ethics don't call for a rejection (such as shark fin, rats, dogs, cats, monkey brain, and similar)
But I don't count these to my favourite dishes.
Yes. I was in Hong Kong at a Chinese restaurant (duh) and chicken feet was the appetizer/starter. I remember not much meat on them, and not much flavor, other than the sauce they were cooked in.
If it tastes good i'd be willing to try ones but it seems incredibly chewy to me if its even chewable at all. Isn't that going to be just bone?
i've tried them. they are horrible. the taste isn't geat and there's really not a lot to eat to begin with. it's like 90% waste and the 10% you can eat is not good.
I'm from the south, that's a staple. Never cared for it though.
with every post I think more about being vegetarian. nope...
Nope, I am not that daring to eat chicken feet 😂😂
aw... i don't wanna think about that near bedtime! night mares. good nyt!
Yes in China the last time I was there... Not a fan!
That looks absolutely disgusting but my fiancee, who is from China, says it is very good.
I have. Tasted ok but not much of anything to actually eat
No, but I had pigs feet. I put my shoes on so that nobody notices.
Yes, but like most meat products, they are disgusting.
No and don't want. 🤢
No but my sister used to put them in her chicken soup 🤮
I tried it twice. The first time I thought that it’s full of fat, second time, i felt like eating pork.
I've have had them at Chinese restaurants. They're pretty good.
