What’s the last cooking mistake you made that you still regret?

I put shrimp cocktail sauce into my organic tomato and cabbage soup because I had some left over and I do not believe in wasting food. It made my soup taste synthetic, unhealthy, and fake, and I feel like I bought those organic tomatoes for nothing, but everyone makes mistakes when they are learning a new skill.
