Rice pudding (Arroz con leche)

It's a Mexican treat, a pudding consisting of rice and milk, with stuff like cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla added. I recently decided to try it from the grocery store, and I buy it regularly now

It's known as rice pudding in the UK. Most people know it from the can/pot version or school dinners. It's often viewed as a childhood desert or something old people like.

For people who make it from scratch the spices vary from home to home but usually involve things like vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon etc

I've never tried but it's similar to a recipe called "arroz doce".

The only difference is that "arroz doce" is made with condensed milk besides regular milk.

Arroz con leche must be delicious too!

We call it milk rice and it's only rice dish I like.
White long grain rice slowly cooked and soaked in hot and sweet milk. With addition of cinnamon sugar, sweet cream and apple puree. Raisins, almonds and vanilla is optional.
