Are you the feeder or the eater?

Lately I have enjoyed cooking and feeding my family more than eating myself.

My wife used to say that cooking made her loose her appetite said that smelling the food and just being around it would make her not so hungry it didn’t gross her out but it made her not eat as much as she would when I first met her and we were together at first she said it was almost like she was eating while she cooked but she didn’t do that she would taste somethings but not like she was snacking or anything I don’t know if there’s anything to that or not since most people get more hungry smelling food I guess if medications can affect people in opposite ways I guess is no reason other things in life shouldn’t be able to do the same thing 🧐🤷‍♂️

I do little bit of cooking but don't enjoy doing it. My wife does most of it at our house and is a good cook. She uses healthy ingredients and makes tasty, balanced meals.

I'm good at eating, though. And I'm grateful to the chef. LOL

I’d say feeder for sure…. And I hate cooking. I’d rather know that you had a meal, and make you something, then worry about my meal, which I often resent having to eat in the first place. I am kinda disgusted by the whole digestive process, and the resulting outcome, in general. I’ve always said, if I could replace 2 out of 3 meals with some kind of miracle magic shake, or beverage, I’d love that—But I know that is not really feasible.

I do most of the cooking for the 2 of us 'cuz if it's just me I usually dont bother and might just snack on something. 🤷‍♀️

Loving the act of cooking and watching others enjoy the food is its own kind of nourishment. When I cook for friends or family, especially a big pot of Japanese curry or a slow-simmered Italian ragù, the joy on their faces fills me up more than the meal itself.

I used to love cooking. The issue is that I'm good at it so everyone always wanted me to cook... now I hate it. Small personal means are fine; 1-3 people. Cooking for a lot of people is tedious asf.

I'm an eater by choice. You cook the meal and I'll just sit and drink a cool brew while you do it. Maybe I'll mash some potats or cut the bird for the sake of "helping" but that's as far as I want to take it.

I’m the feeder if we’re grilling. I like to grill steaks 🥩🍔 I like to smoke barbecue ribs and I like to grill hamburgers. And on Thanksgiving, I like to smoke a turkey for 19 hours I have done that in the past
