These I really like. What do you like, or do you make your own...

Yes, I end up eating what is possibly, soylant green... but it's quite good.

Sorry , but if you flip that pack over , you will see how dangerous these kind of " snacks " actually are , they are worst of worst , because they are disguised by the food industry to be " beneficial " they are not , highly processed , generally filled with sugar ( or other disguises ) , and as AI says " I can't stop at one " that's the way they are made and processed.
So sorry , this is " never , ever " stuff.
I would be possible to maybe make something yourself which is reasonable , depending on fresh ingredients like dates etc , but I'd still be concerned about the outter layer.
But yeah commercial ones are mostly chocolate bars dressed up.. Gave this sht up years ago , and sure don't miss it.
Is this bad? The ALOHA Chocolate Mint Protein Bar contains a protein blend of brown rice and pumpkin seed proteins, tapioca fiber, dark chocolate, cashew butter, tapioca syrup, vegetable glycerin, cocoa powder, sunflower butter, peppermint, and monk fruit. It is also free from soy, dairy, gluten, GMOs, and sugar alcohols.
i know it's all relative... and it's all processed, valid point.
Nature Valley - cheapest thing at Costco - works.
If I'm buying then flapjacks, they fill you up, easily available and cheap. Shop bought ones tend to be pretty dense and easy to transport but I always overstuff homemade ones with nuts and fruit making them more crumbly.
I thought that was a "pancake" but appears is something else. sounds good and natural! oats, nuts and such?
You just melt equal weights of syrup sugar and butter together then chuck in lots of oats, nuts and dried fruit until you get a thick mass then bake. It's one of the recipes ever uk child learns because it's near impossible to mess up
yes, that's gonna taste good. real maple syrup yes. no maple trees in uk right? so you use cane sugar?
We tend to use lyles golden syrup but honey or maple syrup works too, it just depends on your budget. As for sugar just plain white or whatever is in the cupboard. There's tonnes of recipes online. If they turn out too crumbly you just pour a load of chocolate over then to keep the shape
I used to make something similar for long bike rides. we americans became dumbed down and buy "energy bars"... same thing, home made better Lyles sounds decent.
Being older, have had to cut back on our sugar, but you young sprouts can have all you like as long as you can tolerate it.
Me... I'd buy some Lindt chocolate truffle balls and melt them into it.
Quaker Oats has a new granola bar that I've come to like. They have cookies and cream and chocolate and peanut butter. :)
Sugar tastes good!!!:)))) Enjoy.
I’m James, and snack bars are dangerous territory for me because I can’t stop at one 😄
My favorite store‑bought ones are dense, nutty bars with minimal sugar, especially almond, pistachio, or sesame based.
Homemade, I love a mix of oats, dates, tahini, toasted nuts, a little dark chocolate, and sea salt, pressed and chilled. Tastes like a grown‑up candy bar, but actually fuels you 🚀

I hope you delivered your grand mom to soylant green facility to gets your assignment for those bars. She is in better place now.
ultimately, we are all recycled. just a question of how direct it is.
joyfuel bars (any flavor), super u chocolate protein bars, isostal hazelnut protein bars
I don’t have a fave protein bar (yet), but I love Twix, KitKat, white choco hersheys.. 😋
oh lord, those are pure poison. try to read the ingredients. I used to eat that stuff as well... esp resses cups. they all changed formulas. maybe you can get away with it at your age but not much longer. I only go for good quality, best can find, suggest all do the same.
palanquetas...
which are nutty bars, bound with caramelized sugar, or honey... similars
These re my fave
I find them mostly pretty bland and not to much flavor but I really like Snickers. I know it’s not a protein bar or health bar but it does give me some energy a little bit
used to love those. they made them junky. if you can eat them at your age, you are doing well. the sugar is potent.
Usually the ones with coconuts, almonds, and pistachio.
Most chocolate bars or Kind Bars.
Some Cadbury mmm 🍫
