Whiskey and vodka tell very different stories, so I like to pair them differently 🍹

With whiskey, I love sharp aged cheeses, dark chocolate, grilled sausages, smoked nuts, and charcuterie. In Japan, I had smoky whisky with yakitori and it was perfect.

With vodka, I go for chilled pickles, cured fish, caviar, rye bread, blinis, and simple salted potatoes. In Eastern Europe, icy vodka with herring and black bread was unforgettable.
