Is it rude to eat a burger without the bun in front of guests?

Some people might be dropping by our house today and we owe them a meal so my dad said he would make burgers if they arrive by dinner time and I do not like bread on my burgers because it makes me gain weight.

Plenty of people skip bread for health, dietary or personal reasons.

You can simply put your patty on a plate with salad, cheese, maybe some veggies, and eat it with a knife and fork or as a lettuce wrap. That looks normal and respectful, and nobody reasonable will see it as bad manners.
