If rats are farmed and raised hygienically, and any biological problems they have monitored, (such as chickens have salmonella, so they must be cooked thoroughly), I'm guessing they're an OK form of meat. Would be better than them being pests, and the fact that they have so many offspring means they're be loads of them!
Might be the new chicken! Rat Filet! The next fast food!
A little bubonic plague never hurt anyone...
@MrChinaski Ahem, their endemic issues MANAGED!!!
No. My experience eating omnivores strongly suggests that they don’t taste very good. Generally, the best tasting mammals are herbivores. Chickens are the only omnivores that i know of that are tasty. Fish that eat predominantly other animals and insects can be pretty tasty too.
I’m willing to bet that rat tastes like bear, which is gross.
Maybe, if my only other option was Taco Bell.
Or pizza hut from the eu version of the flim.
I’d try it, as long as it was properly cleaned, cooked, and safe to eat 😄
In some parts of the world, rat (usually field rat, not sewer rat) is actually a normal protein source. If the burger was seasoned well, grilled nicely, and I didn’t know until after the first bite, curiosity would probably win. Culinary adventure over comfort food for me every time 🐀🍔
