What can you do with a giant pumpkin?

[exitseven]

I have always been fascinated with the giant pumpkins displayed at some of the local fairs. This giant pumpkin that was grown this year is listed in the Guinness book of world records as the largest ever. It weighs 3156 pounds and is the first pumpkin to be more than 3000 pounds.

You can use it to win the new Guinness record for the largest pumpkin :P

[exitseven]

Guiness has already checked it out.

[xawyx-3]

Oh, I see... well, now you can use it to make the largest pumpkin pie ever ;)

[xawyx-3]

Thanks for the MHO

[shish_kebab]

What about this?

[exitseven]

way cool.

[shish_kebab]

😋👍👍👍👍

[shish_kebab]

Thanks for the MHO

It reminds me of the Grand Canyon. the first time you see it, you stare - with your mouth hanging open - for about ten minutes. Then you turn to your partner and ask, "Okay. Now what do we do?"

[exitseven]

I still want to go there

[OlderAndWiser]

. . . and you should. I saw it 25 years ago. If i was already out west, i would see it again

Honestly, a giant pumpkin? 😂🎃 The possibilities are endless!

You can carve it into an enormous Halloween jack-o'-lantern, turn it into pumpkin soup, bake pumpkin pies, make pumpkin bread, or roast the seeds for a crunchy snack.

If it's REALLY huge, you could enter it into a giant pumpkin competition, use it as an autumn decoration, or even hollow it out for a pumpkin boat race if you're feeling adventurous. 🤣

Personally, I'd be wondering how many pumpkin pies I could make before I got tired of eating pumpkin! 😂🥧

But now I'm curious, how giant are we talking? Big enough to decorate your porch, or big enough to need its own driver's license? 🎃🤣

Deliver it to a neighbor. Then watch and laugh as they try to figure out where it came from and what to do with it. 😂😂😂
But seriously, give it to the elephants they are adorable when they get punkins.

[WhiteSteve]

Saw these at The Big E out in Western Mass about a week ago. Nuts that they can grow so big…

[Iron_Man]

Carve it out and put it on your front yard. and actually light it from the inside. It’ll be bad ass. you’ll get a lot of looks

[exitseven]

I looked into growing one a few years ago. I got seeds from the winning pumpkin. He told me that the hardest part is the pumpkin collapsing on itself. You would have to erect some supports on the inside to keep it from collapsing.

[Iron_Man]

Yeah, I’ve had pumpkins collapse on me and they leak out a bunch of water. That’s why you can’t carve it to early because it doesn’t have much shelf life maybe about three days.

The grower wins prizes, including cash.

Extremely large vegetables are generally not good for much other than show. They don't make good food, even as slop for farm animals.

[DishLady]

• Plant a garden.
• Make pumpkin seed mix and pies and sauces and drink mixes for months.

No good for cooking far too watery. You could carve something. In the UK zoos ask for pumpkins after Halloween because animals love playing with them, elephants love smashing them to eat the insides.

[Iron_Man]

I was thinking if you ever came to Miami and you decided to live here, I could take you to Miami zoo close to my house and see if you can get a job doing something with the animals. 😊👍

[Iron_Man]

It’s actually called Zoo Miami

[Iron_Man]

We also have the monkey jungle I don’t know if you’re interested in working with monkeys or not. And we also have the parrot jungle if you like birds. And we had the Miami Sea aquarium but that’s on its way out I think. And you also seemed to like cooking there’s plenty of restaurant jobs but I think your best bet is working with animals.

[purplepoppy]

We've got folly farm and manor wildlife park near me but I haven't been for years. We used to have escaped monkeys living at Tenby who'd rob tourists on the beach. Sadly they're gone now

[Chazmatazz269]

I will kindly ask you to not steal my answers, thank you very much. Since you beat me to it i’ll just leave this here.

[Iron_Man]

That’s a shame what would they take from the tourist the monkeys? I know they like cigars my dad gave a monkey one. He started chewing it.

[purplepoppy]

Mostly ice-cream according to a few old folk. I was in the vicinity on Saturday night and a seal came over to say hello before swimming off

[Iron_Man]

That’s awesome. I remember as a 12 year-old boy. My sister took me to the Miami Sea aquarium and a seal gave me a kiss on the cheek and we got pictures together and I shook his hand. this was a in a certain area and it was true.

[rgb008]

Carve it out and make a house out of it

[shish_kebab]

Great minds...
