So today is prom day for me, and I just got done getting ready hours in advance. I did my makeup, and I was getting so frustrated with it. Too much of X but not enough of Y. I was pissed because if I went with not enough or too much of X,Y or Z then I'd get judged very hard. I mean come on, teenagers tend to be dumb shits whenever it comes to stuff such as prom night.

I was getting pissed because I had to redo a certain thing multiple times. And I was thinking to myself that it's bullshit that we have to have it perfect or else we'll get bullshit for it. Well recently I read a mytake about people needing to stop telling women how much makeup they need to wear.

I completely agree, and this is what I am trying to say. Please, stop telling women how much or how little makeup a woman needs to wear. If a woman wears a lot, she's told to wear less. If she wears a little to none, she needs to wear more. And guys can't seem to understand the difference between real natural or "natural" makeup.

I just think it's dumb. Sorry guys but I needed to vent about this. Women, (or men) wear as much or as little makeup as you wish to!

I bet you looked great at prom. I remember on my prom night, I laid in bed and ate French fries until I couldn't proscrastinate anymore. My makeup looked good I just wish my hair looked a little better. My dress had a corset that I couldn't breath in but I looked good.

lol all girls can feel your pain. if only, right? it's just gonna be one of those things where you can't always win so just do you! if you like how you look in the mirror, or if you're feeling insecure and your friends give you feedback... trust that. it'd be a shame to miss out on happy memories just because superficial things got in the way.

i'm actually surprised to hear you say that. foundation and concealer is the stuff that's meant to look more natural and cover acne scars, dark spots, redness, any other blemishes. if people throw thousands at medical treatment for skin flaws and are getting no results, makeup may be the only chance at seeing an even face. eye shadow, eyeliner, lipstick, contouring, blush, and mascara are the stuff that makes you look hot. if we're allowed to wear perfume and deodorant to mask our natural scent, if we are allowed to shave our body hair and cut/dye our hair into styles to look good, if we are allowed to wear clothes that flatter our figure... why is makeup any different? I dont understand.

@popsickle because you trick people into thinking that you have better skin. also shaving and perfume are also horrible, in my perfect world women would not shave or use perfume 'to mask their natural scent' there is smells nothing better than the natural scent of your girlfriend. hair contains higher concentrations of the natural scent which is good. i want to look at peoples real faces not their made up faces.

it would only be tricking people if you say that's how you always look and if you refused to let someone see you without it. you'd rather see a person's real face so you can call it ugly? Lol. The world doesn't exist to serve you, dude. People are gonna give themselves their best chance. You should probs focus on learning what's the difference between a made up and a natural face. It's really easy to tell. and fyi, I say this as a girl who wears 0 makeup 99% of the time.
