My fiance and I were helping dad with a project today at his place. It was a big project and we had a good turn-out of friends and family to show up. It was dad, several of his friends, two of my brothers, my fiance's best friend, and my fiance. The project involved a lot of manual labor, so I spend most of the day fetching tools for everybody and pitching in as best I could. My fiance was just now meeting some of these men that had been part of my life growing up, so many stories were shared.

After the work was done, I ordered up a lot of food and set everything up to feed them all. As we ate, one of dad's buddies recalled a party when I was little, saying how I had been the best waitress for that one too. Only, us kids had been skinny dipping in the pond and I hadn't dressed after. I've always been pretty free spirited, but I blushed quite deeply as this was relayed to my fiance with much laughter. My ribbing continued as most everyone shared other stories with similar content featuring me, the naked little pixie running around.

My fiance just HAD to stop and ask me (jokingly) "Is there anyone here that hasn't seen you naked?" and sure enough, no hands went up as I sat there hiding my face. My dad and brothers had of course seen me naked growing up. Dad's buddies had all seen me often enough over the years swimming or camping with the family, or just around the house. Only my fiance and his friend have seen me as an adult, drunken party here and there.

I could only cover my face and laugh. Part of me felt like I should run and hide, but as I had obviously never been much of a hider, it didn't make any sense to do so now. It all just seemed so natural growing up. Nobody ever made it sexual or any kind of issue at all. Dad's friends were all as close as family and treated me like one of their own. I always felt safe around these men and still do, so in the end, I'm ok with it.

When I was a little kid I remember playing in a shallow backyard pool with my cousins. There were 3 boys and 2 girls including me. It was a sweltering hot summer day and somehow we all wound up naked. We were having a blast running around in and out of the pool. I remember my aunt then saying how it seemed okay for the boys to be naked but not the girls. That made no sense to me at all but soon my mom was calling me over to put my swimsuit back on. I refused and ran back into the pool where no one could reach me without getting wet themselves. It apparently was quite the hilarious scene and that story is still told today.

I’m not at all ashamed of being naked or seen naked. I look at it this way. That’s who I am, nothing more, nothing less. Nudity and sex are not the same thing. Half the population of the world has one set of genetalia and the other half has another. It’s biology and holds true whatever your gender or preference might be.

Last summer I went wilderness camping with several girls, two who were a few years older and experienced. It was awful at first and everyone tried to be at least somewhat modest and private. That unraveled quickly. Soon we learned that bug spray and sun block were easier to apply naked. Swimming was more fund naked. Bathing followed. We were put on the buddy system so someone always went with you, yes even for that. You quickly learn that everyone’s pretty much the same and as human beings we do pretty much the same things, some great and some gross. But there doesn’t need to be any great mystery. Being naked is natural.

These days I’m having fun exploring the male body a bit more and having him explore mine. I have very strict parents though (and a younger sister who is very chill) so our private time is somewhat limited. But I look forward to the day when we can be more open with each other and that will include nudity.

So here is my two cents. With all the graphic violence in today's movies, nudity is absolutely nothing. I would much rather have my kids see nudity than someone get their arm chopped off, their head blow up, or some other part impaled. I don't know why movies have moved away from showing nudity to showing more of the body being dismembered. I guess we can thank the organization who rates movies.

Well, I don't have a guy to "explore" - but all that you said about family is SO true! Even the "mom" part - my mom has different rules for me than for my brothers (like THEY can go around in boxers but I can't go around in bra and panties - have to have something over them). But my bros and cousins (four more boys - I'm outnumbered) are all chill with skinny dipping and such. I know my dad must've seen me naked when I was little but I have no idea when the last time was or what he would think about it now.

Yes - I noticed that in some of the replies! Pretty stupid, really. I love my mom but I have NO idea where she gets some of her ideas. What's funny is, my brothers and I (and four boy cousins) have been secretly skinny dipping in my uncle's lake (well, more like a pond, I guess) for MANY years and there has never been any problem with this - but if Mom knew, she'd have a heart attack! Kind of makes me wonder if something happened to her when she was a girl. Ewww... I don't really want to know.

I think it is only a big deal if someone grew up without seeing the opposite gender nude. For those of us that did, its not a issue. Your no different than I am, my sister and I used to play nude in the backyard, even with my brother. I'd say probably my entire family has seen me naked.

Being seen isn't a issue for me either, in fact I like it, a lot. I go out of my way to be seen.

I hope your fiancé doesn't have a issue with it, sometimes guys can get a little crazy when they find out stuff like this, yours seem nice like he doesn't care though, so that is good.

I just like to have a say in who gets to see me, rather than not having a say in the matter.

I have never been bothered by people seeing me naked. I have been to numerous nude beaches and resorts, been skinny dipping in rivers, and have ridden in several Naked Bike Rides where the official counts of watchers have been over 10,000. But considering all the women that I have known in school, worked with, or just known in daily life, I cannot imagine enough of them seeing me naked that I could say that MOST of them have seen me naked. It would not bother me if they had, but I just cannot fathom how it would happen in normal life. You and @casey_black saying that MOST of the men in your lives have seen you naked surprises me just because of the numbers, though I think you are right in not being bothered by it. @breebabe15 has a great outlook on nakedness. @aerissa_jade goes a bit farther and goes out of her way to be seen naked. Definitely a bit of an exhibitionist. Nothing wrong with that. My Naked Bike Rides show that I am, too.

I LOVE this! You sound a lot like me, except for me it's only been family (and not even all of the family). So that's OK with me - but other people? I can't see me getting naked with other people around unless maybe it was only other girls or women. I just think nudity is for family - that sounds wrong but I just mean it's something I would only share with people I'm closest to - so... family.

I think it's very difficult to explain to people who have never even tried it (like my mom). But the main thing is, it has to be each person's choice. That's most important, I think.

Yeah it wouldn't faze me at all. I remember seeing my cousins naked many times, whether getting dressed or bathing together when we were young. We spent a lot of time in the pool, beach, and at water parks, so this was natural. Not hard to be in a one or two piece and it all comes off, or skinny dipping things.

Of this group. Only my fiance and his friend have seen me naked as a developed, 18+, grown up sexual woman. Dad and brothers saw me here and there up till then. Small house, one bathroom. I remember the last big camping trip with the whole group when I was 13 or 14, and I think that was the last time I really went starkers around them. I covered up more in my early teens around his friends though. I'm not sure it would "bother me" if they were to see me today, but it's not something that has happened.
