Why do girls fake laugh?

OH MY GOSH I THOUGHT GUYS COULDNT TELL almost every girl at my school does this spur annoying fake laugh, and I swear none of the guys can tell. But it isn't supposed to be hurtful, it is more girls trying too hard. It usually means they are really into you or your hotness is making them act like a dork

We think it makes you feel more masculine or whatever. I don't know it just feels like the right thing to do when something you don't know what to say to happens.

To get attention, to make people feel bad, to not make people feel stupid, it depends on why they are "fake" laughing.

Depends... but usually if they're laughing at something that's not very funny, they are trying to show they like you. They will flirt by laughing at jokes or whatever, even if they're not funny
