She gave me a cute nickname; does this mean she's interested?

I have a very close female friend with whom I interact frequently. One day, apparently out of the blue, she decided to assign to me a nickname which I'm loathe to share due to its personal nature. In any case, I would have brushed this off as mere playfulness, but she later said she earnestly hopes her parents never hear the usage of said nickname. (These parents are quite strict in the areas of dating and relationships.) Could this be a sign of romantic attraction?

its a hit or miss. a girl gave me a nick name but it didn't mean anything, we were just good friends. but in your case its most likely a good thing:D it usually is.

Most likely but the last nickname a girl gave me was Tic-tac. Never got past 2nd base
