Do girls pay more or less attention to guys they like?

Question

Just wondering how often girls hide their interest from guys they like.

The Scenario: I was on the bus, a really pretty girl walked on so I tried to make eye contact with her. She looked at me for like 2-3 seconds then looked away. I couldn't hit on her on the bus because it was too awkward lol.

Anyways, I see her every now and then. When she gets on the bus, she looks at me then looks away immediately when we make eye contact. When we get off the bus, she seems to totally ignore me which I basically took as she wasn't interested.

However, thinking about it now, she might've just been ignoring me because she was trying to hide her feelings. Or perhaps she has a boyfriend as she always dresses really nice with make up on. 

Anyways, what are your opinions on this?

I pay more attention to them, but when they're not paying attention to me. I'll observe how they treat other people (and also find out if they are single/like anyone) and look for other good virtues, like if they are a nice person, if they work hard, what kind of energy they have (laid-back, super hyper-y engergetic, pretty calm and organized, etc.). I usually make an effort to say hellos, and to communicate with them at least once a week about things like how they are/how their day is, but for the most part I'm way more comfortable talking to guys who I don't like in a romantic way because I care less about what their impressions of me are. Part of that could be that I know those guys better, but part of it is definitely that I'm not interested in them in the same way that I am interested in someone that I like. You should try looking at her and see if she was looking at you :)
Once I was sitting in the hallway and I noticed that people would not look at me as they came down the hallway, but would look at me just as they were passing me because they thought I wouldn't be looking. It was a strange thing, but I noticed that I do the same if I see someone interesting. (I don't want to creep them out, you know?) ;)
Another thing that I noticed was that there was this one guy across from me in a class, and he'd look at me in between glances at the corners of the room. (It wasn't obvious at first, but he kept looking in places where there is literally nothing at all to see, not even a clock, so I started watching him through my peripheral vision). Peripheral vision is great because you can tell if a person is looking at you without interrupting their observations :)
It's definitely possible that she likes you, but could be the opposite. My advice is to observe her and try to catch her looking at you. If you catch her looking at you a lot, then she probably likes you :)

girls always pay a lot of attention to a guy they like.. will always smile and often go far out of their way to say hello with wide eyes and energy.

I don't know why guys think that if you ignore them perhaps you like them? ~ its not a healthy way to think, and to many men are like stalker mindset

if i know 575 guys, I might be interested in one or two... so at very least the odds are she is not interested at all... and probably if she knows 575 guys, 550 of them are interested in her... you can see the huge difference and also some perspective on reality and particularly why a girl is very clear and lets it be know when she likes a guy

it might not be this way in grade 6 and 7 .. but it is after that... and you age is 18-24 , you won't be finding women who play childish games when it comes to attraction any longer.

Every girl is different when they have interest in a guy. Some might make it noticeable and some dont, depends on the girl. She may be shy, if you say she looks quickly away when yous make eye contact. She probs totally ignores you once you get off the bus cause she might feel very embarrassed for catching you eye? Why not just make it a tad easier and go up to her and strike a convo with her? :)

well, i guess she feels like you like her. she looks at you and move immediately so she can know if you are looking at her or not, as she just want to know or make sure that you like her.

the part if she likes you or hide her feelings, i don't think so as she would have smiled to you so that you come talk to her, you can't really tell

I think you're overthinking it. She's a person who rides the bus at the same time as you every day.

Maybe she gave you an in before. Or maybe she looked at you because on public transportation, people just sometimes look around at each other.

I would have talked to her in the bus , but the girls are right if she didn't smile , I mean the girls who smile at you and you ignore them hurts more lol trust me dude , I personally hate that sign , because its so small

I don't think there's a like or don't like situation here since you don't even know each other. If she found you interesting or were available though, she would probably look at you more often, not just once by coincidence the entire ride. She doesn't sound interested...

It's different for every girl. Me, personally.. I don't show interest. I get nervous just being caught staring at a guy so I make staring as discreet as possible. I'm very socially awkward and clumsy and embarrassing overall. The only thing I got going for me is a pretty face (but it does nothing if you can't hold a convo with guys XD) oh well :3

I pay more attention to guys I like because I can't help it. I definitely think about how I come across more and what he's thinking so I tone down the thirst level if that makes sense.
