What happened to femininity?

I'm all for equality but I think that girls should embrace being a woman and guys should embrace being a man. i walk around and I see these girls wearing jeans and slutty skirts and I wonder what happened to classy and being a lady

Guys just aren't used to girls being in direct competition with them, so they mistakenly view women as less "feminine." You see, when a guy "wins" something, his body produces more testosterone, and when he "loses," produces less. So when you are competing with girls (you are: in school, getting a job, in conversation), you are actually producing less testosterone--which makes you think they are more masculine/less feminine, when in reality, you are becoming less masculine/more feminine (you little bitch, lol)

I think for me, this is the big thing that makes women "seem" less feminine: poor manners (which is a problem for men as well--it is a societal/cultural problem).

Well ladies can wear jeans an ladies can wear short skirts. But it how as hell during the summer and short sorts allow us to be comfortable, because unlike men I can take my shirt if and just enjoy the breeze. And the winter is cold as hell so I want something that keeps me war. And the most important comfort and convenience. Skirts look great on paper but for the day to day I don't like them as much. Jeans are awesome and can be feminine or masculine

These are all things that vary and change constantly. You'll have to deal with it and continue enjoying what you personally like.

Also, you may dislike the "slutty" look, but it is definitely womanly. Just not the kind of womanly you prefer.

I won't give up my jeans but I don't wear slutty skirts, other than that, I agree with you. I am more than happy to spend the day making pies, cleaning house and creating new recipes.. and that is what I do most days along with the laundry, dishes and shopping and making the yard look nice. Im the young old fashioned home body :-)

Classy= being polite respectful and nice? not swearing or being rude
Lady=embraces being a woman respects herself but also respects men
Clothing=classy skirts and dresses whenever possible

I agree feminism has played a role but so has the media. Everything is sexualize on tv, in movies, music, advertisment. Girls look up to these celebrities that dress/act provocatively and pose naked for trashy magazine covers.
