Why do women seem to CONSTANTLY change their minds?

Im honestly starting to completely give up on women. The past couple years they have driven me insane. Whether theyre younger than me, my age (24), or older they always change theyre minds all the time. One minute they say "cant wait to see you babe" then the next its "we should probably just be friends." Sometimes theyve even flipped back to seeming interested ONLY to just want to be friends again... Its just really hard to take when you start liking a girl and you start thinking this might work and they seemingly always just make a complete turn around out of no where. Why does this happen? Is it only me? It just really sucks and bums me out.

Some guys do this too... it's called "losing interest". Having experienced it myself a few times I can assure you it's not something you can avoid. This is the risk you take when you date someone. They could always go back and realize you're not the one for them. That's why you are dating in the first place.. to see if you fit together or not.

I feel like fear is involved more than anything, scared that if you do get together with a guy the fear of it possibly ending one day ruins the chance of it ever happening in the first place. Or using other guys being crap in the past to not get with someone totally different now

In some cases, maybe but I don't think that's the case majority of time... it's nice to think that but truth is rejection mostly happens cause she's just not that into you. Regardless of the past, if you fall in love nothing would keep you from going for that person.

Girls are more complicated, true. But not all girls are like that. And being a little high maintenance and sending mixed messages are two very different things. Don't give up on the entire female population, just find someone more easy going!

You answered your own question... You "start" thinking it "might" work and they do an about face. You have to know what you want and what you want, from the get-go, has to be her. If she feels that you are unsure, she will be too. You are the one who should be leading the relationship. If you start that lead with uncertainty, you will lead her to be uncertain, too.
