Why do people think mixed girls are stuck up?

I've never understood why everyone just assumed I was a stuck up bitch. Can someone clarify?

There's a stereotype associated with light skin girls (mixed girls are often tan) that they don't text back much and are picky. It's true for some, false for others.

Thing is mixed girls (a fair amount) often have a bit of a special/exotic look and are generslly sought after by 2x the thirsty males. Thus this extra praising of them can make some mixed girls a little picky as to who they date.

And that can result in the stereotype I mentioned above.

I've seen picky and cool mixed girls. Some had conversations with me and some one worded me, so it varies lol.

This makes a lot of sense. People always assume im taken and stuck up until they actually talk to me. I once got hate for complimenting a really pretty chocolate skinned girl 😒 it was genuine but her group hated me after that.

Mixed doesn't mean both your parents are of different races. It means your DNA is not mostly one thing. If i saw you in real life, I would assume you're mixed. I wouldn't comment about it or anything, but I'd still notice lol.

And yeah some chocolate girls get really jealous over light skin girls lol. Its mostly due to the fact that men are more thirsty for lighter/mixed girls than chocolate girls lol. So the mixed girls end up getting more attention while the chocolate girls have to fight for it.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I know you're predominantly black but to have lighter eyes, looser curls, you'd need a bit of caucasian dna. I didn't mean mixed like Paula Patton or Jhene Aiko lol. If your great grandfather was German, then that means you have some caucasian in your DNA which you give you the trait for lighter eyes and can help loosen up the curls and also promote a slightly lighter skin.

Most black people don't understand DNA's roles in appearance, they're way too quick to pick one label lol.

Though to be honest, I liked your older pic better lol. Always had a soft spot for curls lol.

I don't think it has anything to do with you being mixed... it has more to do with the way you carry yourself.
You look sweet in your picture but in person you may come across as conceited/arrogant/stuck up etc...

Very true. Been prejudged many times as a snob but after they meet me they have told me that they just assumed I'd be arrogant and stuck up. Interestingly enough, no matter how pretty society says you are you can still have insecurities like everyone else ;)

I've never heard of the mixed stereotyped as stuck up. It may be more so just as your actual physical looks. Based on your picture, you're really pretty, which can make people feel your "stuck up" however i'm not getting that vibe from looking at you.

I actually know more non-mixed girls who are stuck up if anything. My half-sister is mixed and is far from stuck up. I've never actually heard that before. A person can be stuck up regardless of race anyway.

The second half? I think it comes from what another responder said (people are picky after getting tons of attention) and from jealousy and from the popular hot girls in high school often being jerks to others.
Some of it might just be intimidation and therefore projecting insecurities and thinking that a girl is stuck up. I don't know.
I've felt that some really attractive girls have no interest in talking to people - they just act like they're too cool. Not all though. Just some.
