The strength difference between men and women has GREATLY decreased?

Ever since women have been liberated, the strength gap has been slowly but surely closing in my opinion.

In today's western world I see plenty of tall and strong girls probably because they've had a similar upbringing to boys. Well fed and look like they could whoop some ass.

Men are still stronger on average but not by much. Agree or disagree?

depends on the physical demands of the person and how much they challenge themselves... Women living working in severe environments never would have been weak. You're thinking of upper class white Victorian women who weren't allowed to do anything but give burry and throw parties and get beat by their husbands. . also pure force isn't the only kind of strength. There's endurance flexibility focus reflex wisdom cunning... Martial arts being a good example. A big dumb loaf of bread isn't going to be able to take on a smaller but wise fighter. regrless of sex.

Women have fought for the right to get paid for their physical activity so that's changed and you orobably just see more women being active which has you thinking they must be more do than before... But I think it's jjust advertisement.

There have always been women more powerful than men snd men more powerful than women in one way or another. whether on average or on an individual basis doesn't matter bc no one person is going to be up against or meet all people in the world.

What's important is that peopke find what their strength is and push themselves to their full potential. Who has more or less potential on average means nothing especially considering how many oeople sit around staring at screens drinkkg and eating heart junk food.

As far as professional sports the gap is closing largely and quickly.,, and women are excelling at a faster rate relative to where they were a few years back than mrn ever did. But that's likely due to sports being taken more seriously not bc of a magical increase of ability. Or bc girls are raised like boys. Plenty of boys are raised" like boys" and are still lazy and weak. Raising boys like boys diesnt seem to produce men as much as assholes. And raising gurks " like girls" leaves them with very little protection against the asholes. in my opinion I think boys and girls should be raised like hermaphrodites.

Are we talking about physical strength here? If so, then ya probably. Back in the day more men worked physically hard job and for those that didn't sport was sill considered manly. Women rarely if ever played sport, that predominately a man's domain.
My great grandpa said he feels like crying every time he sees little girls play soccer , or softball or field hockey because they get a chance to develop skills there that his daughters didn't

In general people are inside more. Video games didn't exist in 40s and a lot of guys play video games, while women statistically care more about health than men, probably therefore go the gym more. Trust me I don't like that part either

I was raised in a family of boys and men, so I did everything they did or else I was left out. I think that's contributed to my overall strength as well.

Woman are taller and physically bigger nowadays, but strength-wise, there's not much of a change. When women's weightlifting records improve, so will men's. There are women in the heavyweight class who can bench 480lbs (RAW), but men are pushing in the 700lb range.

Anyway, her stats are:

5'10 at 182 (she looks much bigger than that)
Squat: 518 lbs
Bench press: 325 lbs
Deadlift: 523 lbs

*Those lifts are comparable to the average gym lifter the same height and weight.

Mike Bridges lifts in the 181lb class:

Squat: 843 lbs

However it does illustrate that size and brute force alone can not combat all forms of power. She's clearly bigger and more muscular... If he really won and it wasn't rigged , then he outwitted her. Arm wrestling is as much psychological timing cunning and reflex as it about muscle power.

@Azara - she's not just some bodybuilder, she's the worlds strongest woman - as in she's stronger than a lot of other very strong women she competes with. She's also clearly on steroids - women can't get that big without them, it isn't possible as they don't have enough testosterone to do so - in fact most men couldn't get to her size naturally either. These are average men, they're nowhere near as strong as the worlds strongest man. And 2/3 beat her in an arm wrestle. If you're a lot stronger than someone they won't be able to beat you by out-witting you, there is technique to it but it is a strength sport. The average woman won't be anywhere near her strength level.

It doesn't matter if women have "liberated" or not, physical strength is biological. There is no way this has changed over the years. Now I could make an argument women are emotionally stronger or mentally stronger but as far as physical strength goes, that will never change.
