Should I tell her I like her even though I know that she doesn't like me?

Hi,

There is this female friend that I like, who I have been friends with for a couple of years. I'm not sure if I should tell her that I like her or not.

From all the signs (eg. body language etc.) and hints that I got, it seems like she is only interested to be friends and nothing more.

The reasons that I want to tell her is to let her know how I feel and also to let her know that there is someone who like her for who she is and cares for her. I know i will get rejected but I'm just thinking if I should just let her know.
In the meantime, I'm also afraid that the friendship might turns awkward if I confess.

So should I just tell her straight that I like her or just let it be?

I did this recently, It was very awkward and yes I got an expected rejection but I think it was healthy to get the feelings out.
I ended up with a sense of relief + a small sadness she doesn't feel the same

Our friendship hasn't ended up awkward (the opening up was very awkward but it is important you talk after you tell her you like her and (may) be rejected to know how both of you feel and how your relationship should work when you move along) the aftermath talking is essential to not turning the friendship awkward, don't abandon communication, tell her it's fine to be friends and go about as normal.

I think that if she is mature enough she will not make things awkward for you. And if you think you would feel better after telling her just tell her. However make it clear that you don't expect her to respond or to have the same feelings or anything so that she is not scared away.

Everyone's different, but I'd probably be a bit annoyed or just like "Okay" if someone told me they liked me when they knew I didn't feel the same.
In most cases it has gotten awkward, but that really does depend on the people involved.

Because she already told you basically so from what you've seen, so just keep it light so you don't scare her away
