It helps perpetuate the idea that women SHOULD just stay at home cooking with the kids. What if I want to be a lawyer? A CEO? A power broker? If a woman wants to stay at home and be a housewife, there is nothing wrong with that, it's the fact that women are EXPECTED to do those things that is particularly disgusting.
