Why are women not ashamed of eating a lot?

Question

In any restaurant you go to, you'll see a girl pigging out, burping and showing off how much she can eat, with NO shame. Girls will eat like pigs in front of people and not even care. Even in front of guys, they eat a lot without a care in the world.

Men are not like this at all. Men won't eat in front of their girlfriends and they won't ea a lot in general. They usually eat small, moderate amounts of food. Men often stir their food around without eating, because of the fear of looking like a pig or gaining weight.

Why is this?

Well, first off, I think you have it twisted. I see WAY more men eating recklessly, and even more women probably eating LESS or differently than they would because they're with company. So I'm not sure about the whole foundation of this contention. Secondly, are you implying its ok for dudes to grub down but it's not appropriate for girls to?

So you're saying men ware anorexic and you think women should learn? Stirring food and fear of weight gain are considered " symptoms" of anorexia.

This also sounds as if a woman wrote it about women and you just switched the genders but it's nt cool either way. Food is life not shame.

This can't be a serious question. Usually it's the other way around. I know I don't eat a lot in public. I don't eat a lot alone either. I definitely don't show off what I can eat, and I don't burp in public. I don't know any other woman who really does.

What kind of men are you hanging around with? I see guys eating with no problem all the time, and girls will as well because guess what? We're human and eating until we're full is something we do to survive. Plus, shouldn't it be a good thing to see girls eating a lot, considering the fact that we're constantly being told that we're not supposed to eat so we can keep a nice figure?

I never knew this was a thing until I met one guy. He was obese, 350+lb or something but everytime we'd go to the buffet or anything, I barely saw him eat. He would say he was full after like one or two plates. I'm guessing he was pigging out made him feel insecure but I don't understand why someone skinnier would worry about it...
