What does "You are too kind" mean?

My girlfriend said sometimes I'm too kind and worry about other's feelings too much. What is she really trying to tell me? Does she want me to be an asshole? It's not like I don't stand up for myself

It could be that you're acting like a pushover. I'm kind by nature as well but if some one says shit to me then fuck being an adult I might say or do shit back to them.

Thats what I don't get. When she tells me something stupid, I tell her straight up how dumb or bad it sounds. What would be a pushover to them? Like she brought up an example of us getting ice cream at the drive through and having her wait for the person to get back to the window to serve us. She did not take that long, I don't feel it necessary to yell for the server's attention when she was coming back anyway

Well to me it sounds like she feels entitled and somewhat spoiled. And kudos to you for not being a pushover. But if even that is not enough for her then she's probably the type that wants an overconfident block-head asshole and not a decent guy like yourself. And I would have had the same line of thought with the ice cream thing.

she might just mean you do stuff for to many people or you put other people before you, if she says it when your doing something nice for her it might just be her being thankful or modest.

Sometimes, I say such thing too and I don't mean anything bad (not the you are not cool part) If she keeps saying the same thing then you could ask her straight out like " What do you mean?" Personally, I will never comment on anything saying they're not cool.
