Don't change yourself for others or you will never be happy with who you are.

No, I get the same thing people say I am too sweet and it will lead to more people taking advantage and hurting me. I just don't listen. Be you and do what makes you happy :)

You shouldn't be a bitch... but if they're mean to you, and the reason why they are isn't justifiied... you better have the "well screw them!" attitude

Nope. Just don't be sweet to the point of being fragile, you know? I think that is what your family and friends mean when they say it "will" hurt you later in life

No, don't be more of a bitch. People are messed up these days to the point that they need to have a sour mood/personality. Having sweetness in this world is certainly not a bad thing.

Honestly, if you are happy with who you are, don't try to change. Who cares what other people think of you for being a positive person.

    In a way, yes.

    Why?

Too nice is bad. Just be nice at 90% of the time.

I think you should be more aggressive when the time comes. Nice people sometimes get taken advantage of and can never say no.

Not to be sexist, but girls can get away with being nice, where a guy would just get walked all over. Carry on being nice, some people appreciate it.

Agrees, there's being nice and being a doormat. I've learned not to be the nicest guy and see the best out of everyone because you get fucked over big time, especially by manipulative people.

Yeah, when I was in college I took the first two quarters (trimesters, to be anal about it) off one year and when I moved back into the dorms for the final quarter, they put me in with a guy who had gotten in fights with his first two roommates of the year - yeah, one each quarter. I knew the guy in charge of housing from before, and a mutual friend told me they had put me in with the psycho because I was easygoing and got along with all sorts of people.

Sometimes its better to have a bad reputation I guess...

If you can stomp your foot down when needed, that's all it matters. Imma have to say your friends are jealous, whether they know it or not. They wish they could be like you but they're bitter people.
