Is my crush giving me the cold shoulder or should I move on?

Well, this cute girl recently showed feelings for me like always poking fun at me, laughing and giggling at everything I say, and in the middle of talking to her friends in the hallway, completely halts her conversation and yells my name out all excited smiling at me. Even in class she will make eye contact and smile at me pretty frequently. But today I asked for her number and she smiled and said "just ask my sister." (She knows me and her sister are friends and text here and there.) But I said "That would be weird wouldn't it?" and she said "It's ok just ask her for it." Then she smiled and made an inside joke between us and and we split up. Should I even continue with her? Or even ask her sister? Or just give it up?

what is she like 9? Why would you ask her sister for her number in the first place? The only things that are here running through my mind are 1. she is underage and her sister is in charge of her. So she cannot talk, hang with or give anyone anything without this sister's ok. 2. She doesn't trust you enough to give you her number and so uses that excuse 3. She is not into you and wouldn't dream of giving you her number anyway. If its number 2. or 3. then you shouldn't even continue this... I mean e. g if you like me and I like you , and we are of age to make decisions such as that , then there is no need for a third party. I just think she may just be doing some flirting and she isn't into you like that.

I dont think you should give up. There are a few reasons why she would tell you this. 1. she is jealous of her sisters and your relationship. 2. she might have wanted to what her sister though of you asker her for her number. But i think you should just ask her and tell her that you want her number from her and not her sister. Girls are really complicated sometimes and since you are kinda talking to her sister she might be again jealous of the realionships you have. Girls are really competitive sometimes especially siblings. So gang in there and just ask her.

Juat say that you could have gotten her phone number from her sister a long time ago but you wanted it from her because she is the one that you want giving her number to you and no one else. Just tell her that you care just about her giving you her number and not her sister.

So I know this is a late reply, but something else happened. I texted her sister telling her I wanted to ask her to homecoming considering we are friends. She promises to keep my word but through many texts, is saying things like: she doesn't need a date she has me, or she is my baby and she doesn't need to go with any guy. So clearly she is one of those sisters. Do you think that had anything to do with her telling me to ask her or no? And quite frankly what do I even do at this point?

Oh that kind of changes things because now its not that she is giving you a cold shoulder its that her sister is to protective of her and that usualy happens but i think you should still ask her to homecoming and see what she tells you. If you like her and are willing to step up to her sister than go for it.
