Why wasn't I born pretty?

Question

I feel so unattractive and so unlucky because I was not born a pretty girl with pretty facial features. So many gorgeous girls who don't even try to be pretty look beautiful and I will still look very ugly even if I try to take care of myself... Why? It brings me down and my self-esteem goes to under 0.

What ever it is, just think on the good side of it instead of feeling like shit just because you believe you look like it.
Fat? No, chubby is better, and when your chubby, it's easier to squish you and lay my head on your lap because you feel like a soft pillow, which is comfortable and relaxing.
Short? What's so bad about short? You can be picked up easier, and you can kiss up to your boyfriend.
Seriously, pretty is just a personal opinion.
I think I'm pretty, and I'm 5'3 and I'm more muscle than fat. Which honestly makes me look like a lesbian, but I'm strong and I can protect myself.
What if you take a week and try to avoid looking at your reflection, because your reflection isn't you. You are the person you see when you close your eyes and imagine how you look.
That's you.
Pure.
Kind.
Smart.
Strong.
Proud.

If you can't see or find one ounce of greatness within yourself then sorry don't expect others too either, there is only one of you chosen from birth life is made up of many different kinds of people who all look different, if everyone in the world was only meant to be beautiful and look the same what a boring ass world it would be people say i'm stunning i see myself as just me but i know i may not be STUNNING to all people and i do not care, i'm confident and i love ME, you need to start there, start learning how to know yourself and who you truly are as a person from the inside out stop focusing on just the outward appearance and work on the inside, if you looked hard enough you would find at least one thing that is unique and beautiful about you and it's not always seen in the face, Good Luck finding and loving yourself.

Because you weren't. In some cultures you will be gorgeous in others you will not be. Depends on where you live.
There are standards society set yes and those are subjective yes. But then there is standards nature sets such as healthy body and hair and symmetrical face = attractive. Nature isn't as strict as society when it creates looks it creates a variety. Some societies ask more for one type of look.

Look, id say there's only a tiny percentage of individuals who are happy with everything in their lives, and looks and physical attractiveness aren't the only things to be happy about. Its just as humans we tend to look at all our negatives. Im told that I'm quite an attractive guy from lots of people yet I still am insecure about my psychical appearance in many ways. You have to train yourself to never over think things, and be more acceptant of reality. As the saying goes: there's someone for everyone and you only have to go out there an experience life to find your partner.

gotta work on that. we all have something that makes us desirable... sure you may not have facial looks/features but you could have one hell of a body or a personality or smarts etc... pick whatever it is that you have and make it work.
im average (i think) but im funny and observant... and i use that... and it works.

Im the same way, and the answer is that the media over glorifies celebrities when they look great, but then laugh at them when they are caught without there make up. then as we grow up we watch this media and it is strongly forged in our mind what is and is not pretty. and we immediately see ourselves as less then what we see on tv. You are pretty, on the inside. like anyone else is. in your own way, you dont have to look a certain way.

Life has no reason. Welcome to real life. I will NOT be one of those who claim looks don't matter. They matter a lot. BUT until you can save up for plastic surgery, what you got is what you got. LET NO ONE PUT YOU DOWN. Stand up for yourself, and learn to be funny. Teach yourself to play the piano or guitar. Expand your personality to compensate for being ugly.
