It doesn't really mean anything.
It just means that I am going out with someone / a friend / a person I am getting to know... Unless there are like 10 dates of which there is some sort of exclusivity, then I won't consider that feelings for him.. Just someone I'm getting to know.

Please guys, don't think that because we are out 3 times, women want a relationship with you... Now that you ask that, I understand why a guy stopped contacting me after 2nd date. lol I don't know what he thought haha oh well :p

It depends... If "date" is defined as two people going out alone together, then feelings may not have developed yet. I may still just be getting to know the guy. If it is clearly called a "date" in advance, and the implication is that we are deciding whether or not to begin a relationship, then a third date may mean

It's different for everyone. Personally, bc I am heavily introverted and picky with my men, even a FIRST date means something. I have guys asking me out frequently, but the amount of dates I go on is hardly any bc I'm choosy. That said, if we make it to date THREE, then I would really view the guy in a serious manner. I won't go on a second date with a guy I didn't see a potential relationship.

Also, I would expect we could ask for exclusivity at that point. It also depends on how spaced out the dates are and what is happening on them. I once had a second date where I slept at the guy's place without any sex happening, but aafter that I wanted exclusivity.

If it's like a date and you guys are trying to see if you are compatible with one another as in boyfriend/girlfriend, then it's time for relationship talk. A date isn't an outing with friends or a friend, and if that's what you think you're on, then you're not on a date.

It means we survived the first two dates, so I see potential in that guy. But it will depend on the guy and how we interact with each other. I usually prefer to know the guy before going out with him. If I know him well and we go on three dates that's a very positive sign for me.
