Why does my body shake uncontrollably during confrontational situations?

I work at Sainsburys and during work today I asked a guy for ID when he bought alcohol. He was already drunk and got very loud and aggressive because he didn't have any ID. He and his friends were shouting at me and I felt my body start shaking. It was lucky that the security guard was there, because he threw them all out. My colleague didn't say anything but I know he noticed my body shaking. It was so weird.

Has anybody else experienced this and do you know why it happens? Please don't be nasty.

Its just your adrenaline surging through your body. It happens when you feel threatened and your "fight or flight" instinct kicks in. Your blood flow gets redirected to your muscles and your heart rate elevates. The shaking is just your body getting ready for ralid movement; either running or fighting.

Adrenalin is taking over your body, that's why you shake. You're body is getting ready to run or fight.

I get like that, but mostly because of anxiety. I think that it would be a normal response to such sudden stress and fear, like a part of the fight or flight thing. You were afraid, and it's understandable

Yes, I have when my mom yells at me I shake and cry. It happens cuz I hate loud noises and it is my mom yelling at me (someone I care for) It is cuz u feel threatened and u are scared of loud noises.

I begin to shake pretty bad whenever I get really angry or have confrontation with others. I assume it has a lot to do with adrenaline, and yes it is quite embarrassing to me.

It's part of the "fight or flight" reaction. Have you ever been in an actual fist fight before?

Well I've never been in a fight but my ex used to hit me a lot.

Oh. Well, that could be why too. You are scared of getting hurt again. It's nothing to be ashamed of or anything. It's alright if you get scared, you don't need to worry about it.

I've been in fights with friends and nothing happened , I started shaking,

I've been in fights with random people with no emotions attached and no shaking.

I do this sometimes, but it also can happen "randomly" (I don't let people know that I'm stressed and tell them that it just happens)

You were probably scared and/or your adrenaline kicked in.

Could be because it's a situation you aren't used to, anyways some amount of fear is a good thing because it raises awareness and heightens senses.

It happened to me a lot in high school especially. I was bullied and had general anxiety disorder and I remember having anxiety attacks that started that way
