My girlfriend admitted she still has a soft spot for an ex?

Me (17) and my girlfriend (16) have been together for 6 months and a bit and we were in bed and the topic of love came up. She said that she'd only really felt proper love for me and other of her exs. Then when I asked if she thinks she could fall out of love she said that true love never faded. So I asked her if she still loved her ex, we'll call him K. She said that she still has a soft spot for K and that 99% of her love is for me and that 1% is for him, but she said that it wasn't romantic but like a friendship love. Then she said that she would never do anything to hurt me or anything.

Her and K were together around a year and a half ago and he is pretty much her best friend and they talk often. I trust her completely and don't think she'll do anything with him or anything, but it just makes me a bit uncomfortable, I dunno. Can someone give me some words of wisdom to help?

i totally get it. listen to this. i feel the same way about my ex, i love him as a best friend. yeah i loved him romanticly but we weren't made for each other. and at the end, that's what matters. so he is Always going to have a special place in her heart. but you have her heart so don't worry!

I think that she told you the truth, unless she gives you signs that it's not just friendship you have nothing to worry about. They just remained friends when the relationship ended.

yeah, I'm not worrying, just feels a bit odd, but it is my first relationship so I'm not where near and expert or anything :P
