Does she secretly like me but still has feelings for her ex?

I met a girl who approached me like a month ago, and we got to know each other better. I see her every day at work, 5 times a week, and we always talk to each other. She showed signs of interest at first, and I got flirty and playful with her (randomly touching my back while passing by, asking if I am single and complimenting my hairstyle). Turns out she is not fully over her ex and still has contact with him, so I backed off a bit and stopped being playful and flirty as I used to be with her. But I noticed something. Every time I complimented something about her, she starts doing it every day, like, for example, I told her this hairstyle looked suited her really well, now she does this exact hairstyle every single day, which she didn't do before.
I am still flirty with her from times to times, and when I don't tease her and neglect her, she will come up to me and try to tease me about something or joke around.
I am in no way desperate to be with her, there is plenty of attractive girls around, but what always comes to my mind, does she secretly like me but is still not over her ex?
And should I continue to be flirty and playful with her? (not as much as I was before I knew she still has contact with her ex)

That could be it or she got used to acting like that around you and probably feel like you don’t like to be around her anymore when you back off so when you do compliment her she is probably thinking like “oh if I have this hairstyle around him more often then maybe it would bring more pleasure for him to be around me”(if that makes since) or if she could just like you and is just friends with her ex
