So recently i saw a Question on GAG asking if all straight girls had been bicurious at one stage.
Are most girls bisexual?
My reasoning for this is, to be bicurious there has to be a slight sexual attraction to recongise "Hey this is something that might interest me"

Seeing as half of the women who have replied have claimed to be bicurious at one stage, does that mean around half of the female population is bisexual? I'm interested in seeing your experiences and feedback:)

I would dig deeper into this. There was a study I saw a few years back where they measured female and male responses to porn. Straight males showed no physiological response to male on male porn...'straight' females also showed no physical response to the male on male porn.

But when it came to the girl on girl porn, ALL the females got wet and their clits got hard. It didn't matter if they claimed being straight or not, physically at least, the females got aroused at the sight of same sexed porn, whereas the straight males watching two dudes sword fight with their cocks has no sexual response to the sight.

Another study I found interesting was one where 'straight' females are capable of judging if other females are sexually attractive or not, whereas straight males don't have that ability when looking at their same sexed individuals. The hypothesis was that straight dudes like me just size other dudes up as if we'd win in a fight, whereas females, straight or not, have to judge or size up their competition in a different way.

All in all, I think it's really interesting that a straight woman gets physically aroused at the sight of two women, yet mentally can just go full on denial mode, which brings me to my own anecdotal observations of some female's actions------> Because I'm a cocky asshole that gets a 9 out of 10 score on 'hot or not dot com' and knows it, I've been told that I'm not attractive at all by plenty of women... women that would score closer to a 5 at best. Basically they're out of my league except in a ugly way.

So they go into this mode where they'll claim up and down I'm the ugliest beast known to mankind... no sexual attraction at all. Then I'll give them the green light that they have a chance with me and they'll magically change their mind about it in general (sudden D-bone hankering syndrome). This is just my personal theory, but if they can be that way about the 'D,' then wouldn't they be capable of being like that about the 'V'? Based on everything I've seen in my short life, I'm leaning towards straight women having the ability to judge if another woman is 'sexy' and being sexually aroused by that said 'sexy' when it comes to other females... at least physically. Mentally though, a female's powers of denial determine what they roll with whether they're getting a lady boner for a lady or not.

Yo we covered this. The actual experts on this subject think you're wrong, both the linguistic and the psychological ones. The American Psychological Association (the largest scientific and professional organization of psychologists in the United States) says "Sexual orientation refers to an enduring pattern of emotional, romantic and/or sexual attractions to men, women or both sexes. Sexual orientation also refers to a person's sense of identity based on those attractions, related behaviors and membership in a community of others who share those attractions."

Note the " enduring pattern" thing and the personal identity thing.

As for linguists, the above definition is also the one I see most commonly used. Actually, there's something of an issue of a fortuitously somewhat smallish group of people trying to say that bisexuals who have settled down with one person aren't bisexual, or that bisexuals aren't real at all but merely "confused". So basically practically no one uses or agrees with your definition. And because linguists by and large believe "correct" English is determined by what's commonly used and understood, that makes your definition simply incorrect and the APA's much more accurate.

1. I know one lesbian woman and haven't seen bisexual

2. Porns are for men mostly. they are violent and focus on penetration. Even some soft porns are not for women from my view (and i know a lot of women who say samething) i guess that's why. And women also enjoy gay porns too (i think it's because they don't have to see violent sex toward women) and not every women enjoy lesbian porn. I don't enjoy them at all.

Granted, I'm not a woman, but from everything I've read on the subject, it sounds like most women are various levels of bisexual.

It's already been tested and shown that 'straight' women are the only sexuality/gender combo that regularly becomes aroused by both homosexual/lesbian and heterosexual visual stimuli.

I think it just means the act of something sexual by nature replicates the same affects as it would for a man they want, to be fair these women also had the same effect from viewing animals having sexual activities as well as other women/ men so i dont feel this is an acurate way to judge female bisexuality.

Yes, it's socially more acceptable for women, and as such women are more likely to be open about it. I'd actually wager that men are more likely to have same sex thoughts than females just because we tend to think about sex more.

I know many girls who have have "messed around" with another girl to appear "cool" or so she can say "I experimented so that makes me more wordly", and a lot of women do it for the shock-factor or the reaction they get from because they think it makes them more appealing to say they had a lesbian experience. But very have I known who were genuinely struggling with their sexuality, and it wasn't something they broadcast, it was something they wanted to find clarity about so they could be at peace with themselves.

If they wanted to find clarity on it they obviously have some degree of sexual attraction toward their own gender and are thus by definition bisexual, otherwise they wouldn't have had the want to experiment in the first place. Don't confuse preference and orientation, just because they prefer men doesn't mean they don't have some attraction to girls.

I could physically have sex with a woman but it doesn't make me bisexual because I'm not confused about what gender I am naturally sexually attracted to, and I can also say that in general women are far more physically appealing but I am still attracted to men. The individual defines their sexual orientation and no, not all women are "deep down" lesbian or bisexual, just like not all men are.

If a lesbian is raped by a man that doesn't then make her straight or bi, and if I chose to kiss a woman knowing I wasn't attracted to her, that doesn't then make me a lesbian, because I'm only sexually attracted to men and I only want physical relationships with people I'm attracted to because that's the only way it would be satisfying, but my emotions don't physically restrict me from having sex with a woman do they?
