I'm a hot blonde and he chose the curvy brunette? WTF GIVES?!

Question

There is the girl in my department. We are kind of friends but not really. A new guy that recently graduated from college started work 4 months ago. He's in a completely different department and does a different job. I'm single so I tried to catch his eyes and smile, etc. I'm tall, pretty thin, very short blond hair, big butt - blue eyes.

He's 6'1, dark hair, dark eyes, very hot.

Well get this. The other girl is 5'5, curvy (big breasts) & a flat booty - long brown hair, brown eyes - pretty face but like I said a bit curvy.

I just found out that he's not into me - the outgoing blond but he's into the reserved/shy-like kinda strange curvy girl.

I'm not 1 to compare usually but I'm perplexed on why he would go for her over ME?!

You guys tell us you want the outgoing model type so what gives

Not everyone is into the same exact thing. Some guys prefer blondes, others prefer brunettes.
Maybe she has a really sweet, nice personality and he was drawn to her because of that. Maybe he likes quiet and doesn't enjoy outgoing.
And maybe he didn't like your personality? I don't know you, so I don't know, but I'm just hypothesizing. Not every guy you meet or like is going to be into you. The world doesn't really work like that.
Shake it off, move on, and look for a new guy that is into blondes. If you're as pretty as you say you are, you should have no issues :)

Being made fun of and talked down on by girls like you all my life because I'm "fat" has made me realize that looks are not important. Well, first off.. I consider myself curvy.. I have a nice ass.. a small waist and a nice bust. That to me is curvy.. not a woman with big boobs and a flat booty.

I've never known guys to say they want outgoing model type girls... I'm curvy and never had a hard time getting very nice looking guys. Not all guys are into the "model" type. They do all have different preferences like us. She might have been his type. It does suck when a guy passes you up for someone you feel is below average compared to you...

First off, the stuff you mentioned is all stuff the media claims to be hot. Guys don't necessarily want everything they see on TV. Plus, the only thing I see is "outgoing" as your personality. Maybe this girl he can talk to openly and connect with. Guys have different preferences in appearance. There are guys who want the "hot blond" but honestly, the way you describe yourself only seems like a guy would go for you with the intention of a one night stand. Many guys who see those "hot blondes" stereotype them as girls that should only be hooked up with.

1. Confidence is one thing but there is a streak of hostility in your description of this woman. That might translate into your overall personality that some people, or this guy in particular, might pick up on. Even if you are not trying to be hurtful, it's a bad look.

I'm picturing Max and Caroline from "2 broke girls" and I honestly have to say that I'd pick Max over Caroline as well. A lot of that has to do with personality though (talking about the characters, not the actresses).

Besides, not everyone likes tall blondes. I mean, I like tall blondes, but they don't make short brunettes fade into the background. One is not necessarily better than the other.
