Sitting next to a girl in class when there are open seats?

In my university I am in this rather small class in a big room. So there are a couple open seats. There is this girl that sits alone and I sit two seats away from her. I wanna talk to her so I was thinking of sitting next to her but would it be creepy and weird since I could have sat two seats away from her and give her space?

I don't think it would be creepy or weird as long as you don't say anything creepy or weird.

Chances are if she's sitting by herself, then she's already shy (either that or REALLY determined to stay focused on the lesson). Coming from a shy girl, we appreciate being approached by someone else first, as long as that approach is friendly obviously.

If she doesn't react well to you sitting next to her, she may be uncomfortably shy. Don't push her. If she acts like this you may need to do more of the talking. If she's smiling and trying to engage at least a little, keep trying to open her up. But if she barely responds, never looks at you, sounds bored, she may just want you to go away or leave her alone. It's all about tone of voice and body language.

Give it a shot. If you feel good vibes then ask if you can sit by her again the next day, and then if it keeps going well, don't ask to sit by her again, just do. And on the other hand if she didn't respond well to you, then I'd leave her alone.

Don't overthink simple things like this. Just talk to her. If sitting next to her would make you uncomfortable and wonder whether she thinks it's weird or not, try to talk to her between classes of before/after the class. Be confident!

The only way to talk to her before class would to sit next to her or in front of her. Talking to her after class would be hard because she is obviously wants to go home.

Nah man go head next to her. Girls like confidence anyway. Just as your walking towards her seat say, "Hi," "what's up" or "Is this seat taken"? Just whatever your comfortable saying as an opener. Then as your talking, try to get her to do 80-85% of the talking while you control the conversation with questions. Just make sure you do it in a way that dosent sound like a interview. But MOST IMPORTANT: Just show her that you really interested in knowing who she is as a person. Good luck!

Also we probably will only have 2-3 minutes to talk before class depending on when I or he rshow up since you can't talk during class.

Are you in college or in class? Ask her how she feels about the class. Does she plan on majoring in that subject? Ask her what's her major? Ask her what got her into that? Say shit like: Tell me more or what else. You want her to do most of the talking and show her your actually interested in who she really is and what's dear to her. Plus I've learn that shy people tend to have the most to say.
