You should START by understanding that... the whole experience of "going to the bathroom" is different for men and women.
• We have to sit down every time (... which includes not only the obvious stuff about inconvenience, cleanliness etc... but also we have to rig up somewhere to hang jackets, handbags, etc, if we happen to get stuck in a stall without a hook on the back of the door).
• A lot of our clothes are a big production to remove -- even just to the extent necessary to use the restroom.
__
Because of those differences ^^ ... women, in general, start to deal with restroom trips -- in general -- in a fundamentally different way than boys do.
Specifically:
• Guys think of bathroom trips more in terms of NEED.
• We think of bathroom trips more in terms of CONVENIENCE.
Does that make sense?
Like... Because it's just a bigger "production" for us to go to the restroom in the first place, we just tend to think more (than men do) about "scheduling" restroom trips for maximum convenience and minimum disruption.
Tbh, this isn't even conscious. It's just... a thing.
I first noticed this when I was twelve or thirteen. I have 4 brothers, and I noticed that **I** would always do the "well, I'm just gna use the bathroom one more time before I go out" thing... and that my brothers wouldn't.
Like, the whole thought of using the restroom before they had an URGENT need to whiz... just wouldn't even have occurred to them.
__
Now, combine that ^^ with (most likely) a greater sense of social awareness.
I mean... If there's a conversation going on, then, if 1 person gets up and leaves, there's always a certain amount of awkwardness.
(It's not the end of the world, obviously... but, there's a reason why there is etiquette around the idea of "excusing yourself".)
If 2 or 3 women can get up and use the restroom at the same time, then...
• ... there's less of THAT awkwardness (since they'll go and come back faster than if they went individually)
• ... THEIR conversation can keep happening, too.
If you think of this -- **AND** the fact that we are more accustomed to restroom trips as things to do at "convenient" times anyway -- then this should all make perfect sense.
(At restaurants/nightclubs/etc there's also the "checking out each other's makeup" thing, but, this is not nearly as much of a thing as some people make it out to be -- it's just that this is easy to NOTICE. And besides, random women are happy to help each other out with that stuff anyway.)
Woman's washrooms are different from men's washrooms. In a man's washroom - the urinals are outside and you can see what everybody else is doing. In the woman's washroom - everybody is in their isolated cubicles so there is more privacy because you can't see what they are doing and they can't see you. It makes more sense to go as a group because if you go at different times then you will have to take turns waiting for your friend to come out of the washroom. If 5 people go at 5 different times, you will have to waste your time waiting for 5 different people to go to the washroom. If you go at the same time it's better. Also some girls do private things like touch up their make or check their eyeliner and they don't want the men to see them worrying about their appearance. It's also a way to have a private conversation with somebody away from prying eyes. Woman are more private and secretive then men.
There are pretty mirrors in some bathrooms and sometimes we're just like; "hey you wanna make a mirrorselfie in the bathroom in the b2 (example of place at our school with a nice mirror)" and then we just go to the bathroom to take selfies and return when the break is over.
It's just a nice place were you can talk without too many people and just to your random shit without people looking.
And sometimes someone has to pee or something and we are talking and don't want to stop the conversation, so we just go to the toilet either.
This way the person who is on the toilet can follow the conversation too.
I only go to the toilet with close friends.
The majority of us are trained very young in secret spy organizations and disguise ourselves as a super complicated and social version of the male gender. We don't have friends we have partners in assignments we had to complete and when we "go to the bathroom together" we are actually all debriefing each other on our chosen target. Sometimes its you sometimes it isn't. Mostly it's you tho. ( '-') We must execute our plans... by Any means necessary Anon, please understand.
Good lord, Tokyo... -_-
@FýrdracaDócincel (¬‿¬) ur next fyrdra
Come at me then. I have all the things I need to defend myself at my house.
*A belt
*Plenty of vibrating electronics.
*Strong wires that are pretty decent for knots.
*A very deep basement.
*Oil.
*And I'm sure I can take some more of the wires along with one of my rubber balls (that I just have laying around for some reason) and make a little something to preserve the peace (and quiet).
@FýrdracaDócincel (- . - ) who said anything about attacking you at ur house. THAT'S AN INVASION OF PRIVACY.

Ayyye thanks for the MHO :)
sure, thanks for your opinion
It's a place where they know they're safe from males; thus they get to talk about their male friends without input from said friends. (This is the most common reason, anyway.)
Otherwise, they just go for the same reason us men do it; strategic conformity, as in: "Oh, well I was going to wait because I can, but this guy and the other guy are going, so I might as well since there's nothing better to do in the meantime."
Pay attention this is important. The group bathroom ritual is age old. This is where women get together and discuss how best to annoy their boyfriends and suck the life out of them. It's scary but a fact of life.
You mean women are vampires?
Yes, yes they are. We all know it.

Yeah I don't do this and the girls that do piss me off ever try to wash your hands when their all stood round the sink or tried to get out when their all congregating in the middle taking up all the space? and do the move? do they f***. These girls are ignorant or what annoys me even more is when they go in a cubicle and talk for hours when the place is busy and there's a queue. It's very inconsiderate sorry i'm ranting they annoy me that much lol
lol ok
- At bars and clubs it's best to make sure your lady friends are safe. While it doesn't happen often you can be cornered by a dude or have something inappropriate or worse happen to you if you're drunk and alone.
- Need a bitch there to make you feel less awkward in a crowded bathroom
- We make the bestest of new friends in bathrooms loaded with other women sometimes
- Makeup
- To gossip and decide the fate of the dude you're with
That last point is a terrifying thought 🙈
@Cosytoasty DUN DUN DUUUUHHHH
It depends on the night out and the people there and also the girls state.
If I'm with a bunch of people I will try and go with someone. It's partly so I don't get left behind. If we are on a night out it's so I look my best and girls tend to use bathroom time to fix make up and such.
If it's a juicy night out, like lots of single girls, we go as a group to gossip/plan the next move. Who is going where, who needs to go where, etc. It's a safety thing.
Sometimes it's a night out to bitch about your boyfriend/ex and you just want your girlfriend there for a private blub and a pee.
And sometimes... we go together because our bladders happened to sync. I know it's crazy. I know no men ever meet in the men's because nobody ever needs to urinate at the exact same time. But SOMETIMES it happens to us women. And thank god it does - she's the back up lady when you have no loo roll. Sadly shaking isn't great for ladies.
Am I the only one who asks my friend to go to the restroom with me so I can take a breather? I highly agree with the going with a buddy so you don't get lost or left behind, for sure. But also, if it's just a high energy night or there's a lot going on, sometimes it's nice to step outside. Restrooms usually drown out a good amount of the music and it's nice to just pat yourself down and chill a little bit as you wash your hands and wait for your friend and get their opinion on the night or what's going on. I don't usually plot the next move or whatever, but that's usually because I act on my own if I'm out with a guy I like. No, we don't piss together or make it a group process. It's like taking a step outside to smoke, but without the cigarette, cold air, or long walk to the door and push to get back inside.
Interesting. The LAST thing I'd want on a fun, high-energy night out would be a temporary downer.
I mean, this is the same reason why very, very few people would want to go to an afterparty that's more than a few minutes' drive/cab ride from the original party.
We do it because we like gossiping with each other, making observations about each other's appearances, exchanging tips if we're double dating, borrowing each other's makeup, etc. :) it's just fun catching up with our girlfriends where no one can eavesdrop lol :P It's a no guy zone aha :) Just like what goes on in the guys locker room I would assume
@Robin48 haha no problemo :)
I just meant that guys have their own "bonding" that they do just like girls (even if it's in the form of towel slapping) lol :)
I attended an all girl's school, & we did it even there lol. So, I don't really know why (but other girls have offered interesting insights!) BUT I CAN tell you it's not about boys bc its behaviour that continues when you're not around
ahah this whole "boys thinking everything is about boys" bit... yeah, that isn't gna stop anytime soon.
@redeyemindtricks tru!
They feel comfort from knowing that there is someone with them while they touch up their makeup and fix themselves. It's the same feeling like you wouldn't want to eat alone. We would always want to have someone around even if it's just going to the restroom. Lol.
you always see girls go in groups . like others said to help each other out .
to get a confidence boost from a bathroom pep talk. but also when throwing up .
escaping a creepy guy. (or stumbling to the car) . it's where skirts come down .
and shirts go up . fixing wardrobe malfuctions . and sometimes to makeout in the stall.
I normally do it cus I hang around in a 3 so 2 needs the toilet and I go along cus im waiting anyway. To gossip and cus waiting lines take forever so we can still hang with our friends. Last but not least is to check our makeup touch up on lipstick, check hair etc
If it's in night clubs it's because the line is fuckin long so we usually pile into a cubicle with our friends (here anyway). Sometimes it's cause we're doing Charlie in there 😂 And sometimes it's just cause we want to talk without someone listening.
"Doing Charlie"?
Pls explain to the American bimbo what this means 😂 Tx
@redeyemindtricks cocaine 😏
ahha. Blow, snow, coke, sugar, llello ("yayo"), yay, kane... but I've never heard "Charlie".
Are there actually sufficiently clean surfaces in there? Or are you just talking about whipping a compact out of yr bag and using the mirror
@redeyemindtricks Charlie must be English (England) slang then. And yeah deffo whip out your mirror or do it on your bag or wallet. I never put it on any surface I don't own 😷
Sounds like you're doing yr due diligence ahha.
Yh possibly. Sounds like the kind of word that British people would use as slang -- and not at all like the kind of word Americans would use.
... but also, I'm old af 😂 it's entirely possible that the young'uns are using that word right down the street. lol.
@redeyemindtricks 😂 I'm sure you'd have heard it though! And yeah it does sound proper British haha. I forget we have different names for stuff sometimes
Yah. I always laugh when I think about American tourists keeping their money/passports in "fanny packs" in other countries. ahha.
@redeyemindtricks haha true though we are used to lots of American phrases with Tv these days!
If its in school, than it's usually to talk about cute guys or other people, to help each other with makeup, just to talk alone without a ton of people listening in, or to take cute mirror pictures together. Outside of school we stick together mainly for safety purposes. The most common reasons are to talk about guys and take pictures though.
lol wtf
I was thinking of this exact vine when I saw this question lol
Im so glad vines died. That shit was cringe for years.
Hahah. RIP Vine
@redeyemindtricks redeyes you're like 40. Stop talking like you're 20
Im much more than you'll ever be. you're old and im young. I win
We are srsly in the big leagues of clever banter now, kiddies. 😂
@redeyemindtricks you're nowhere near my level.
@SwolDishWasher neither one of you is in my league of being a smart ass. 👌
s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/.../...57b77b2d30.jpg
@SwolDishWasher now that, I can agree with.
@redeyemindtricks proving my point for me. Delusion mid life crisis time over here.
We mostly do it bc we get to talk about the guys (or other girls) privately among ourselves. We also get to borrow or help each other with hair or makeup. We sometimes take bathroom selfies to highlight our sexy awesome outfits. Other times, we go together for comfort or for safety reasons bc we know that we are stronger in numbers.
I swear, I'll never understand why guys go into the restroom alone!
Cause we don't want to stand next to each other at the urinals!
@MusicMayhem why? Are you afraid of each other?
No we just don't want other dudes inadvertently seeing our cocks haha
@YourFutureEx Haha thanks I was actually thinking of that pic!!
@YourFutureEx you can blame male #2 for screwing it up. if he just went to the far urinal guy 3 would have an easy decision. clearly male #2 was not thinking.
To fend off the bathroom trolls that live inside the toilets. Obviously.
u_u it's a constant battle for freedom in there,
Yeah and the after battle be like:
pmchollywoodlife.files.wordpress.com/.../...ad.jpg
Because Hermione went alone and got attacked by a troll, and Moaning Myrtle went alone and got killed by the Basilisk.
its not very complicated man, its for safety reasons.
in general , that is. if its a familiar place, then its for just talking, company. in highshool, me and the boys always went together, to talk about girls and personal stuff
Because we're taught to use the buddy system. We're taught from a young age that being alone makes us vulnerable to harassment or worse.
If you have to know. It's a female bonding ritual, most females practice in their livelihood.
The toilet area gives us a platform to complain about weight issues and boy crushes.
Because we need a hand to squeeze for those stubborn poos.
hahaha
🤣😂🤣😂🤣i forgot about this
It's simple. Hermione went to the bathroom alone and got attacked by a troll. It's just safer. :)
Girls are taught from a young age that being in a group is safer. The bathroom is always in the back corner of the building, its tight, private, and a common place to get grabbed by pervs. Hence the group bathroom trips.
I never go to the restroom with my gal pals unless we're on a night out and one of us needs a wee. Then it's because we don't want to lose one another, want a chat, want to borrow a bit of makeup from someone etc etc.
it's security thing and also they need time to chat about things they can't say around the people their with
For talking about girly things. For gossip. for checking make-up.
Lol if me and my friends all went separately then we wouldn't all be at the table together for a majority of the time (if at all esp. if there is drinking involved)... just makes sense esp. if there is a line.
If the guy that one of them likes is there, they go together to talk about him or for safety/security reasons
@Brisk glad I could help
Didn't you see what happened to Hermoine when she went to the bathroom by herself?
I go alone cause I have no friends. But maybe it's in case one needs help with makeup or forgot an extra tampon? I dunno I use urinals.
Ill be your friend. We can go in the girls bathroom together
@SwolDishWasher yay! I'm sure we can have lots of fun in there now that we are bathroom buddies
lol yeah we can give nerds swirlies
@SwolDishWasher >:I Oi! Nerds are people I. E. Vertebrates within the class Mammalia, possessing a neocortex yet higher sentient level of consciousness, that are made of mostly carbon, water and oxygen TOO!

@TokyoGhoulLover yes. Its gotten to the point where every other thing i say is a star wars phrase. My family is starting to hate me (even more) haha
@SwolDishWasher Dude me and my dad always improv a star wars "You were the chosen one" battle whenever we get access to wrapping paper tubes. Even in public. I wish I was making this up. If your fam ain't this, ya need to find some peeps who are dammit. ( '-') Life is not fulfilled unless you've betrayed the Jedi order man.

It's a safer feeling when you have other people with you. Especially in public restrooms, you never know who is hiding in there.
tf. its highly unlikly a male is going to hide in a females restroom.
@KINGNIGGA123 You never know...
@KINGNIGGA123 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Aye man... sometimes people are sane... sometimes we say 'FUCKIT'
because we like to go there to talk about other girls or sometimes guys and take selfies lol
to gossip of course ! ask eachothers opinion on their boyfriends or a crush siting with them at the same place or advice or even borrow make up or something, you can call the women restroom the planning and tactical operations room hhhhhhh
something guys will never know or understand
they usually go in there to talk about you
so if you're with 2 girls and they both go in the bathroom together i promise you 99.9% of the time, they're talking about you
Several reasons oen of them is to gossip, or if the restroom is not like very appealing better bring someoen just in case, for safety or if there arew cute guys there near the restroom they have to go together
It is their opportunity to talk about us candidly among themselves.
Contrary to what boys think, no, everything is not always about boys.
Maybe they don't want to miss the fun so they all go and bring the gossip/chat/etc to the bathroom
We're having a secret meeting honestly lmao. Exchange of idea, product, and consult are usually common.
I heard that guys do exactly this, I think in either China or Japan. It's for gossip lol
Loool I'm a girl and I swear this has always pissed me off 😂. During high school if my friends asked me to come to the bathroom with them I would get so annoyed and tell them to go on her own. And the toilet would always be like literally a few meters away, never understood the point of it and I don't think I've ever asked my friends to come to the restroom with me, they always volunteer, I'm just like, "ah ok if you want." 😂😂😂😂
We don't really know why we do it's sort of a habit I'm guessing has came from when we were little and our mothers would come in with us, girls are very clingy to memories and habits so it's kind of built in to go to the bathroom with another close female 😂😂
Gossip.
Do each other's hair.
Hold stuff (purses, bags) while one is in the stall.
Take selfies.
We always bring the best part of the chat there. xD Like usually about guys and stuff.
Its where they can have a chat and gossip mostly :)
Normally we go there and take selfies , check the makeup, talk about gossip , boys and stuff like that
We like each other's company and talk in private there :)
They have farting contests and then eat each others asses #rimparty
You talking about Battleshit from Harold and Kumar? ROFL!!
I guess it's cause women are advised to stay together/in groups.
Mostly to gossip. If yu are on a double date. You are talking trash about each other date. Then you wonder why you can not keep partners.
You remind me of that comercial when this guy says to his friend " you coming?" And it gets all werid because he's a guy. 😂😂. So it's werid when guys do it. 😂😂
Because they like to eat each other out. A fact that women will swear up and down about, they're all bi curious or lesbian, fact.
It's pretty sad when you think about it "Let's have a nice chat next to the shit bucket". I don't even like to go to public bathrooms. Having a chat in there? That's some grade A tramp shit
to have a break from major part of male population and to tweak their strategy of landing that attractive chad who all the girls want.
All the girls are lying its all about the open bar and tvs in the lady's room!
I always figured they stripped down to their undies in there and had pillow fights.
Its one of the few places they get to gossip about other people without being judged for it.
We feel better together other wise we feel awkward if we go alone and we can talk privately in there
That's where they talk trash and get away with it. I think...
Because they female confortable, safer and protected unlike guys who probably have nothing to be scared of maybe except gays :))
Because if we must talk any think but anybody hear we cant't talk , reapply make up, special for girls thinks (ı think you understand), advice, gossip etc...
I wonder why too but it always been that way since i was a kid. Going to the toilet, different or same cubicle, that's pretty normal. Honestly all we do just pee and talk about things.
