Why is she giving me mixed signals?

I feel like this girl is giving me a bunch of mixed signals and its kind of stressful. This really cool girl met me through a friend and she started hitting me up non-stop out of nowhere and whenever I would see her at a party she would ignore other guys, follow me everywhere, giggle, flirt etc.. Then she wanted to come to my place to "hang out" and when she was over we had great vibes, i has hitting on her, she enjoyed it, and I told her I was attracted to her and wanted to kiss her and she looked surprised and said "oh no but we are just friends I don't know, blah blah" So I figured well I misread that, whatever, let's move on. But then she kept hitting me up. Even more. On top of that, she is going out of the way to help me with tons of random stuff. Like seriously she is willing to travel barefoot in the snow for me. We always both smile when we see each other. She talks about me to everyone. Calls and texts me all day. Buys me things... Even posting pics of us together like we are a couple on facebook. She likes me right? On top of that I genuinely dont chase her. But then she will do things like come to hang over at night, dress sexy, flirt and such, then casually tell me stories about how guys would randomly try to kiss her and she'd stop talking to with them after that. I don't know it kind of bugs me because I was ready to walk initially but then she kept coming to me and helping me genuinely but she also i think is playing games and I dont understand. Month and a half later and now I dont want to hang out with her because it makes me feel uncomfortable because I dont know what role to play. Its sucks because I really like her and we have so much in common. Look-wise we even make a good couple. She doesn't date often or hook up with guys ever but she has been in long term relationships and has 2 kids. Whats is this girl doing? Should I jump ship and move on? Awkwardly keep getting turned down? She's messing with me and i dont like it to be honest.

It sounds a lot like she is into you, but she wants to protect herself. Actually, it sounds like she really doesn't want to lose you so she's warning you constantly not to mess with her because she knows she'll have to leave you if you do. I think you should try to ask her out but on a date, not for a kiss. I don't think she wants to kiss boys she isn't dating. Hope it helps :)

Tell her you're attracted to her and want a romantic relationship. Do not offer to be friends. You can't do that now that you do have feelings for her. It will always be awkward.

I wonder if she's using you to make someone else jealous, hence posting pictures online.
