Why does my sister bleed so much?

Ok so i went down stairs to get to the washing room and i had to walk past the bathroom where my sister uses it.
Our dog must have got the pad out of the garbage and left it on the floor...
Ok so as i was going to the laundry room i stepped in something, i looked down and i saw a lot of blood on this like paper towel and i thought
"who the hell got shot?"

i mean the pad was soaked in blood
(i am not exaggerating one bit, there was so much blood like someone had got shot)

and now its all over my foot, i shook the pad off and realized it was blood.. on a pad... EW!.
i put my foot up in the sink and washed my foot...

why does she bleed that much?
it wasn't my mom, my mom doesn't use the downstairs restroom

she's probably very uncomfortable because periods suck but that's nothing new. on a health standpoint, she's ok. on my second day (my heaviest), i'll bleed through 2-3 pads easily, and i'm 17 as well but skinny. it's very common for girls to bleed though a pad. don't worry, and thanks for being a protective and concerned brother. you seem very caring (:

It's mostly just genetic and is probably pretty normal. Thats why pads come in different types, like normal, and super. I could never not buy super ones. My mum had heavy periods and lots of pain, I'm the same. And it always goes for 7 days. I had a friend who has it only for 4 days and a lighter period, lucky her!

How much we girls bleed is very individual! There is not easy to say why she bleeds that much, I'm just thinking poor girl, if she is only 17 and bleed that much. If she is virgin or not is irrelevant, that doesn't effect the menstruation. And she really needs to try something else than a pad. Eighter a tampong or a silicone cup, that's very popular this days. There is not a problem with bleeding that much, it's just really annoying.. 😉

She has her period. The menses. Or whatever you call it. Some bleed heavy, other's don't. As long as she is not bleeding too heavy, she's fine. If she is, then it's a sign of something very serious like cancer, fibroids, or ovarian cyst. Plus, you say she moves around a lot. That could also make her bleed a little heavier.

Depends on the girl. Some have a heavy while others have a slow flow. It's the same for menstrual cramps. Some girls almost feel no pain while others have meds prescribed for the pain. It's all genetic.

i didn't look up period blood and study it, i don't have to experience periods so why would i look them up, all i know about periods is they come like once a month for a week straight, they give you cramps, make you crave certain foods, and are a sign that you aren't pregnant
